The 1 Thing Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick’s Kids Are Forbidden From Bringing Into Their Playhouse
It’s hard to argue with the truth — all the kids in the Kardashian family are beyond spoiled. From designer clothes to custom glittery Power Wheels vehicles and over-the-top birthday parties, every single kid in the Kar-Jenner clan wants for nothing. But that doesn’t mean they get away with everything.
Scott Disick and Kourtney Kardashian aren’t currently together, but they are exceptionally good at co-parenting their three children: Mason (9), Penelope (7), and Reign (4). That’s why it’s no surprise that Scott Disick spent a significant amount of time building his kids an elaborate playhouse at their mom’s house. Kourtney Kardashian recently took Architectural Digest on a tour of the new space.
There’s just one thing you’ll never find inside their enviable play structure. Can you guess what it is?

You didn’t expect Kardashian offspring to settle for a tiny, plastic playhouse, did you? Instead, Scott Disick put his renovation skills to work and designed the structure along with his ex-girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian. The kids also helped a little bit.
“Scott was like ‘I’m taking this into my own two hands and I’m building the kids a playhouse,” Kardashian explained during the video tour. “We picked the one we liked the best, and we thought would complement my house the best. We even let the kids chime in a bit, and give some of their opinions about some of the details.”
The playhouse is simple yet sophisticated, featuring the same exterior wood Kardashian used in her outdoor pergolas and the same flooring she used in her home.

The space is open and airy, with lots of windows, a custom white couch, and a vintage rocking horse. But before you can even ask, “Where’s the flat screen?” Kourtney Kardashian admitted that the playhouse is a technology-free area.
“The kids wanted a TV and we were like, ‘No.’ There are books in there, and it’s cute for playing games. The biggest thing is to use your imagination and have time to relax. It’s a place to lounge and read books and play,” Kardashian said.
She admitted the lack of iPads and television makes it more challenging to entice her kids inside. “I would love for all of them to hang out here together,” she said. But instead, they come in separately, or not at all.
“I think the no technology is a turnoff for Mason,” Kardashian admits. But the other two kids do use the playhouse a lot, especially when their friends are over.
The playhouse would be a dream for any children
From the lofted area with stuffed animals to the exterior deck for sunning, the playhouse is every bit a dream, even without — or especially without — technological gadgets.
“I think I’m going to come in and escape in here,” Kourtney Kardashian jokes at the end of the tour. Could she survive a length of time without posting to Instagram in the tech-free zone? It doesn’t seem likely!
