‘The 100’: Eliza Taylor and Bob Morley Announce Secret Wedding
There is nothing that fans love more than seeing onscreen costars together in real life. It makes the little fantasy world that has been created on the show seem even more real.
But, unfortunately, celebrities are notorious for keeping their love lives private, or at least trying to.
Eliza Taylor and Bob Morely have both starred in the CW’s The 100 since the show began in 2014. Neither of them has ever really opened up about their love lives. At least until now.
How did Taylor and Morely announce their marriage?
Yesterday, completely out of the blue, Taylor took to Twitter to announce that she had married Morely.
“Recently I married my best friend and soul mate @WildpipM,” she wrote on. “We are very happy and ask that you keep your comments kind and respect our privacy at this time.”
The tweet was attached to a photo of the pair from their wedding day. In the picture, the two are holding hands and displaying their new rings and Taylor’s wedding bouquet.
But Taylor wasn’t the only one to share the news.
Morely also announced the marriage on Twitter.
“It is with such a full heart that I call @MisElizaJane my wife,” he tweeted. “This is something we both cherish very deeply and are beyond happy. Please remember to be respectful and kind to one another. Be well be kind.
Reaction to the marriage
While the public was completely in the dark as to whether or not Taylor and Morely were even dating, people close to the production of the show might have had some idea of what was going on.
The 100‘s creator, Jason Rothenberg, congratulated the couple on Twitter.
And even Taylor’s mom, Lucy Cotter, confirmed the marriage on social media.
“Yay!” she tweeted in response to the news. “Now I can officially congratulate my darlings and say that I’m a proud and happy Mumma and Mumma-in-law!”
“Lots of love to my new son-in-law,” she wrote to Morely. “So fun, saying that!”
The friends and family of the couple may have been happy about the union, but no one was more excited than fans of the show.
“Congratulations!” one fan wrote. “Damn, you guys know how to keep a secret WOW WOW WOW.”
“Congratulations!!!!” another said. “Truly trying hard to find the words to express how much I love you guys but I’m so happy for you.”
Some even toyed with the idea of sending gifts.
“Congratulations to both of you!!” another fan said. “Wonderful news! @theJulieBenson and I usually send a gravy boat, but we’ll do you the favor of NOT sending one.”
Others doubted the validity of the announcement.
“Yeah but like they both could’ve been hacked it happened to Cole Sprouse and Lili Reindhart,” one person commented.
They even went as far as questioning the photo that Taylor posted.
“Could’ve gotten it off the internet or someone else’s pic!” the person continued. “I really don’t know tho! First thing first go to interviews and analyze the actors hands.”
Another fan took it upon themselves to check if the picture was real.
“Never in my life have I thought that I’d be googling bob’s hands but xD… seems legit OMG I’m so happy for them I’m crying,” the user wrote.
