‘The Bachelor’: Dean Unglert Weighs in on Colton Underwood and Rachel Lindsay’s Feud
Bachelor nation is sort of like one big (incestuous) family. They show up to all the same events, post ads for the same brands, and help each other gain followers by appearing on each other’s social media accounts. But even families have their arguments.
The latest members of the Bach world to be at odds are former Bachelor Colton Underwood and former Bachelorette Rachel Lyndsay. Even though the argument seemed to come completely out of left field, other Bachelor alumni have already weighed in on the drama.
Why are Colton Underwood and Rachel Lindsay feuding?
So, Lindsay and Underwood’s feud actually had nothing to do with Underwood in the beginning. It all started when Lindsay revealed that she was no longer friends with Raven Gates, who she met on Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor.
“I can’t say. I promised I wouldn’t say” Lindsay said when asked why she and Gates were no longer friends while a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live. “But it was enough for me to not want to be friends with her anymore.”
Host Andy Cohen asked if she and Gates had been able to patch things up.
“And you’re still not friends with her?” he asked.
“No, not at all. And I never will be,” she answered.
Later, Us Weekly posted about the feud on Instagram. And surprisingly, Underwood had something to say.
“Shocker. Rachel mad at another person… does she like anyone?” he wrote.
Not finished, Underwood wrote another comment on Us Weekly’s post.
“I’m not weighing in on the Rachel/Raven drama. I could care less about that, not my business,” he wrote. “What is my business is the countless number of times she’s spoken poorly of me… including that time she ran her mouth about me to Cassie…Funny thing is I have never met her.”
What does Dean Unglert think about the Colton Underwood and Rachel Lindsay feud?
Bachelorette favorite Dean Unglert recently weighed in on all the drama. He has a particularly interesting take on things as he dated Lindsay on her season and is now dating Caelynn Miller-Keyes who dated Underwood. See, incestuous.
“I do understand that Rachel has been super critical of Colton,”he told E! News. “It kind of makes sense for him to be super defensive and be like, ‘Okay, how many people are you going to talk crap about?’ I think this is the first time we have seen two series leads pitted against each other in this weird off-camera battle. I don’t think anyone can really take anyone’s sides.”
“Colton is right to want to defend his relationship with Cassie Randolph and Rachel is right to want to have an opinion,” he continued. “No one is really right and no one is really wrong.”
Are Rachel Lindsay and Colton Underwood friends again?
Though the two haven’t made amends, Lindsay invited Underwood on her Bachelor Happy Hour podcast to talk it out.
Underwood agreed to go on the former Bachelorette’s podcast on one condition.
“I’ll come on your podcast Rachel,” he tweeted. “One condition: ask your producer to leave it raw, unedited and untouched. Looking forward to meeting you & pointing out your hypocrisy over the last year.”
