Trouble may be brewing in paradise…or trouble is still brewing in paradise. It’s hard to tell when it comes to Cassie Randolph and Colton Underwood. The two’s relationship started out pretty rocky, but somehow over the course of a few months, they were able to go from the verge of breaking up to a super happy Instagram couple.
But it looks like things may not actually be as good as they seem in those tiny Instagram squares.
Randolph and Underwood’s relationship
Underwood met Randolph when he was the Bachelor. From the moment they met, the two had undeniable chemistry. But Underwood had that same connection with several of the other girls. As the season went on, people began to doubt if Randolph was there for the right reasons, but Underwood’s feelings for her could not be swayed.
Eventually, Randolph realized that her feelings for the former football player were not as strong as his were for her, so she told him that she wanted to go home.
Through a lot of begging and jumping over a wall, Underwood was able to convince Randolph to come back and be with him.
Randolph and Underwood’s relationship after the show
Since the show, it seems like Underwood and Randolph have settled into their relationship.
Initially, when they left The Bachelor, they told fans that they would get engaged soon.
“I think, right now, at this point in our relationship, we’re enjoying this, trying to be as normal as possible,” Underwood told Entertainment Tonight after filming wrapped. “But you know, we’ve talked about our engagement and talked about taking the next step in our relationship and [decided] one thing at a time.”
“Honestly, if I was a betting man I would say it would happen within the next year, yes,” he said of an engagement.
But later, he backtracked.
“I felt like I had to put a timeline on when we were going to get engaged because it was so abnormal, but I think for us, let’s just be normal, let’s enjoy dating each other,” he told ET.
Randolph was apparently fine with the slow down.
“I think initially, coming off of it, honestly we felt the need to defend it,” she said. “Yes, we’re at this stage, and we wanted everyone to believe how much we cared about each other, because we do, so much, and we thought that was how we’d go about it.”
And the two hadn’t planned on speeding things up anytime soon.
“We are trying to do everything as normal as possible,” Underwood told Extra. “I don’t think you realize how many important steps you miss in the Bachelor process, which is nothing against them. We want to make sure we do this the right way. Statistically speaking, for Bachelors, it’s not very good odds, so I think us going against what other Bachelor and Bachelorette couples have done is probably going to work out in our favor.”
Did Randolph and Underwood break up?
If you follow either Randolph or Underwood on Instagram, then you know that the two can’t get enough of posting one another. They post pictures of them kissing, of them looking lovingly into each other’s eye…basically anything they do together, they post.
But for some reason, Underwood and Randolph haven’t posted anything about one another since the Fourth of July. Previously, they were posting each other every other day or every few days.
If they haven’t completely broken up yet, this could be a sign that things are headed that way.
