‘The Bachelor’: Hannah G.’s Biggest Insecurity and What She Loves About Herself
Hannah Godwin was a fan-favorite and major contender on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor. She won Colton over with her Southern sweetness–he told her she reminded him of home. And she won America over with her charm and penchant for rapping.
Even after the show ended, Hannah G.’s remained a popular reality star. She’s attended various events and her Bachelor-centric, beauty-centric, and style-centric interviews have not slowed down. She also recently reached 1 million followers on Instagram (which is a big deal if you’re an influencer).
But even beautiful, charismatic, funny Instagram models are human, and they have insecurities, too.
Hannah G.’s biggest insecurity
Hannah G. was recently a guest on the Mouthing Off podcast with former Bachelor contestant Olivia Caridi. Caridi read off a few listener questions for Hannah, and one of them was about the reality star’s biggest insecurity.
“I second guess myself a lot,” she replied. “I’m indecisive just when I’m having conversations. I think ‘oh gosh they’re probably judging me right now.’ Anytime I say something I automatically think somebody is judging me. I’m just not confident in my words sometimes. I’m getting much better at it and just saying ‘screw it.’ But it’s been an issue in my life.”
Based on the interviews she’s given recently and her social media content you’d never guess that Hannah G. suffers from a lack of confidence.
Hannah G.’s best attribute
She was also asked about her best attribute.
“My positivity,” she said. “It’s helped a lot in instances that I’ve been through myself. I’ve been able to work through things. I don’t know if it’s an only child thing or what but I’ve been able to deal with things on my own. Also, it’s helped other people.”
Hannah G. suffered a major heartbreak on The Bachelor. She fell in love with Colton and was certain she’d be offered his final rose. When he broke up with her in Portugal she felt blindsided. What made matters worse is when she returned home and the show began to air, friends and fans alike would approach her asking to see her engagement ring because Bachelor Nation was so certain she’d be the season winner as well.
But despite the major heartbreak, Hannah G.’s repeatedly said that she wouldn’t trade the experience for the world. An attitude she can undoubtedly attribute to her unwavering positivity.
“It didn’t go the way that I wanted it to but I learned so much, so overall I would do it eight million times again. Because when do you get the chance to make yourself a priority and love a priority–I never had time for that but this gave me the chance to kind of do that,” she said in an interview with Access.
