‘The Bachelor’: Does Matt James’ Ex-Girlfriend Show Up in Week 3?
On Jan. 4, 2021, Matt James‘ journey on The Bachelor began; however, fans want to know if his ex-girlfriend will join the show. Before the season, there were rumors that the 28-year-old’s ex-girlfriend, Madison Nelson, would be a contestant on the show. However, she did not get out of the limo on night one. Will she show up in week 3 of the series?
Who is ‘The Bachelor’ lead Matt James’ ex-girlfriend, Madison Nelson?
Madison Nelson dated Matt James for a few months during the summer of 2019. The pair attended a New York fashion show together, when his best friend, Tyler Cameron, dated model Gigi Hidad.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Madison works in the New York City Metropolitan area for IBM, but is from Granger, Indiana, originally. She is an Executive Communications Lead and has volunteer experience working as a mentor for students and children. The 27-year-old could have met James through his non-profit organization, ABC Food Tours. The organization he started helps kids from underprivileged communities by providing them with unique opportunities throughout the city. They do have a common interest in volunteering to help children in need.
Reality Steve Carbone revealed that the relationship between the two was “somewhat serious.” However, it’s unknown who ended the relationship or why it was over so soon. The couple only dated for a few months.
Matt James gets 5 new contestants on ‘The Bachelor’ Week 3
According to Carbone, five more women joined The Bachelor to compete for James’ heart after the second rose ceremony. That would align with week 3 of the season. The contestants were part of the original list of 43 women. However, they didn’t get out of the limo on night one.
Brittany Galvin, Catalina Morales, Kim Li, Michelle Young, and Ryan Clator are the five women who joined the season, according to the spoiler King. They shook up the connection that the other contestants had with each other already and added more drama.
Will James’ ex-girlfriend join the show in week 3?
Initially, Carbone thought that James’ ex-girlfriend, Nelson, was one of the five who joined the season late. However, he recently corrected his prediction, adding that the producers chose not to cast Nelson because she dated James.
“I originally thought that Madison Nelson was one of the five but was told she is not,” Carbone reported. “[I] was actually told once they found out she HAD dated Matt last summer, they decided against bringing her on.”
However, the spoiler King is not always correct, so she could still return. The Bachelor producers love to bring exes on the show to blindside the contestants or the lead. We will likely see her on the show at some point, considering she was in the original list, and adding an ex to the mix would certainly shake things up. However, Carbone does not believe she arrives in week 3 with the other five added contestants.
