‘The Bachelor’ Star Peter Weber Finally Got ‘The Hometown That Should Have Been’
Peter Weber was right about his season of The Bachelor. No one could guess the ending, and it certainly wasn’t spoiled. He chose Hannah Ann Sluss during the final rose ceremony, but they broke up before the finale. Then, the pilot thought he could make it work with Madison Prewett, but that didn’t do it for him, either.
Finally, out of the blue, Weber was caught with Kelley Flanagan, who was his fifth choice. Now, he’s finally getting what he calls “the hometown that should have been.”
What happened during ‘The Bachelor’ star Peter Weber’s ‘Hometown Dates?’
During “Hometowns” on Weber’s season, he met Sluss’ family at their home in Knoxville, Tennessee. The pilot gave the 24-year-old model a letter listing all the things he loves about her. He also told Sluss that he loves her despite her father’s request that Weber not say it unless he means it.
Next, he went to Des Moines, Iowa, to meet Kelsey Weier’s family. The 29-year-old Beauty Pageant titleholder told Weber she was in love with him. However, he did not share the same sentiment. The pilot tried crab rangoon for the first time at Weier’s home but sent her home that episode.
In Auburn, Alabama, Prewett, and Weber play basketball at Auburn University. That evening, Prewett’s father questioned Weber about their compatibility in the long run. Her mother discussed the couples’ differences in their faith. We already saw the warning signs here that this relationship wasn’t going to work out.
Lastly, Weber travels to Virginia Beach, Virginia, but doesn’t meet Victoria Fuller’s family because of another fight the two have.
Weber finally got the ‘hometown date that should have been’ with Kelley Flanagan
Weber met Flanagan’s family on July 9, 2020, for dinner and golf at Medinah Country Club in Illinois. The attorney is from Chicago, Illinois, and was very excited for her family to meet her boyfriend. She shared a family photo with Weber that evening.
“The hometown that should’ve been,” Weber wrote on Flanagan’s post.
Later, The Bachelor contestant asked her mother what her thoughts were on Weber while the men of the family played golf.
“He’s a gentleman,” Flanagan’s mother said in an Instagram story. “He’s very polite. [Weber’s] very accommodating, he’s very genuine. He’s very sweet, and he was raised the right way. I think my Kel-Belle — which is my daughter — really really likes him. I can tell because she’s nicer herself when she’s around him, so it does rub off. I think he’s just a good ol’ Joe.”
Weber and Flanagan’s families are both excited for their relationship
“Can’t wait to meet your beautiful family!” Weber’s mother, Barbara, wrote in the comments of the post.
Flanagan’s sister replied quickly to Barbara.
“Barb, we are totally going to be besties,” Pamela Flanagan responded to Weber’s mom’s comment.
Pamela didn’t attend the dinner at the country club because she lives in Denver, Colorado. Kelley Flanagan has five siblings, but only her three brothers attended the “hometown date,” with her parents.
