‘The Bachelor’: Peter Weber’s Season Might End up Being a Bigger Disaster Than Anyone Ever Imagined
Oh, Peter Weber, we had such high hopes for you.
Weber’s season of The Bachelor has turned out to be a dumpster fire of drama. The relationships that are supposed to be blossoming between Weber and the rest of the women have taken up maybe one-fourth of the air time of the show. The rest of the show’s time has been eaten up by the petty squabbles between the women.
Before the season started, Weber assured fans that this season would be the first one that hasn’t been spoiled. But is the reason that no one knows who the winner is because Weber was never able to make a decision because of all of the drama?
Peter Weber has a surprise ending
Previews of this season’s ending have shown that there is going to be a dramatic twist that happens just before Weber is set to propose.
“It’s a very dramatic start, as they say, but it always is!” host Chris Harrison told Us Weekly. “You look at Colton Underwood‘s season and that was crazy for how it went down. Hannah Brown’s season was crazy, in a totally different way. Now Peter Weber‘s season is unpredictable and riveting in another way and we don’t see it coming. It’s something that the producers didn’t know about, it’s something Peter and I didn’t know about.”
“Inevitably, something happens we’ve never dealt with before,” he continued. “It’s gut-wrenching.”
No one knows what the ending will be
Normally, by this point in the season, Reality Steve would have already revealed who the winner was. But Weber has repeatedly said that this season will not be spoiled.
“I’m really excited for this season because I’m very confident that no one is going to be able to spoil it,” the pilot told The Hollywood Reporter. “There’s a reason I believe that — and obviously I can’t say it, otherwise it gives it away. I’m very confident that Reality Steve and all of these people, they’re not going to find out what happens — there’s no way they’re going to find out. And I’m very excited about that because I think that’s what this show has wanted for a while and I’m excited that for my season there’s a really good chance that happens. And I’m excited for everyone to just come along for the journey and not know what happens at the end, and just be able to live it out with me.”
Even Reality Steve admitted that he didn’t know the winner.
“Even if my initial spoiler was wrong, I had always released a ‘winner’ before the first episode aired,” he wrote on his blog. “Not gonna happen this season. Not because I don’t want to, or not because I don’t feel like it, or whatever rabid conspiracy theory you can come up with. The bottom line is I don’t have the ending yet, but I’m pretty sure there’s a good reason why I don’t.”
Has Peter Weber chosen a winner?
Reality Steve thinks that the reason he doesn’t know who won is that no one actually has.
“I’m trying to confirm and hopefully that’ll shed light on some things. But the bottom line to all this is whatever happened on final rose ceremony day isn’t over yet, the ‘ending’ of this season hasn’t technically happened yet, and that’s why there’s nothing to spoil as of now,” he said.
And he isn’t the only one who thinks that.
“There’s only one theory,” former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe told E! News. “The only way you can’t spoil it is he didn’t make a decision. That’s the only way. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!”
So, if we are this far into the season airing and Weber still hasn’t been able to make a decision, then his season may be more of a failure than any of us thought.
