It’s not rare to find out that contestants on The Bachelor have been in entertainment before. But there is one woman on Season 23 trying to find love with Colton Underwood that is in a very awkward position because she not only did another reality show, but it’s currently airing. That would be Cassie Randolph. This is the reality show and find out what her ex had to say about her going on The Bachelor.

Cassie Randolph is on Young Once, which is currently airing

Randolph is currently one of Underwood’s favorites on his season. But she is oddly on another reality show that is currently airing called Young Once. The show follows a group of friends that also attend a very religious college,
Biola College.

In the second season, Randolph can be seen in a relationship with
Caelan Tiongson. That could be odd to see since fans can also currently see her being one of many trying to win Underwood’s heart.

Her ex said Young Once purposely timed its airing to get more viewers

I’m posting this here so no words can be misconstrued. As many know, my ex girlfriend is currently a contestant on the tv show The Bachelor. The both of us have also appeared on a documentary series called Young Once. The show catches you up on our lives as the first season was shot at Biola University while we were still going to school there. They happened to catch the closing of mine and Cassie’s on and off relationship during the recording of this show. Make no mistake that Young Once was filmed before The Bachelor, and the fact that they are airing at the same time is a strategy to attract viewers. Both Cassie and I made mistakes in our relationship, but I think we’d both agree it dragged out much too long anyways. This is because I persistently pursued a reunion and she knowingly kept the door open at times because of indecisiveness, neither of which matters because it has been over for good since before she went on The Bachelor. However, it can be said without a doubt that her and I were not a fit for each other. Also, I’m sure there are millions of breakups that have lasted longer than they should have and nobody should be held at fault for that. The reality of the situation is that Cassie is a great girl. Her decision to go on The Bachelor was a decisive moment in my life to move forward so why couldn’t it serve as that for her as well? If I met my dream girl a month after our final closing this summer that would just be how God had it planned for me. Nobody has the right to tell her whether or not she has good intentions. So although the full truth may not be out…not everybody’s business needs to be on reality tv. Cassie will eventually explain her side and I endorse whatever she says because there is no reason for her to hide the truth. I wish her nothing but success and happiness moving forward. I post this because of the outlets who reached out to hear “my side” and because I heard Cassie was receiving a lot of negativity for our past relationship. I thought this would be the best way to preserve the truth and encourage the trolls to check themselves before tearing down a good human being. Life is about moving forward, not dwelling on the past

The Bachelor fans might be wondering if Randolph came on the show for the right reasons. But her ex, Tiongson actually spoke out in her defense on Instagram. He said the timing was a strategy for those behind Young Once to get more viewers. His statement starts with:

He also said that she is a great girl

This breakup must have been a healthy one because Tiongson has nothing but good things to say about Randolph. He went on to defend her character in the caption.

He then went on to say “The reality of the situation is that Cassie is a great girl. Her decision to go on The Bachelor was a decisive moment in my life to move forward so why couldn’t it serve as that for her as well?”

Randolph previously told Underwood that her life is exposed coming on the show

Randolph finally had her solo date with Underwood in “Week 5.” There she talked to Underwood about not being a virgin and what kind of reaction her people might have to that.

“I’m not a virgin and that’s something that it’s like a hard thing to talk about. I hope he’s okay with that,” Randolph said in her interview. That might have seemed weird to fans considering most of the cast on The Bachelor aren’t virgins. But what she said to Underwood makes more sense if you consider Randolph being on a show about very religious college students.

“So coming here and like everything about, everything about my personal life is like exposed, right? And for you, it was being a virgin but for me it’s not being a virgin which is hard,” she told Underwood.

Underwood gave her the rose and told Randolph she is special. So she’s definitely one of the front runners this season. Fans can also see why Randolph and her ex didn’t work out on Young Once.
