Who is the new ‘Bachelor’ Matt James?

James was going to be a contestant on Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette until the coronavirus struck. The show was going to begin filming on March 13, 2020; however, production was paused indefinitely.

The New Yorker works in Real Estate, providing “brokerage and transaction management services,” according to his profile on CBRE. He is the founder of ABC Food Tours, which takes children in New York City to tour local restaurants and learn about entrepreneurship. Over 50% of the students the company serves are homeless, while over 69% live in poverty.

Fans of Brown and Cameron know James because of his many TikTok videos and photos on social media with “the Quarantine Crew.” A group of friends got together to quarantine in Florida and post their ridiculous antics on social media. Many fans found James to be the most entertaining of the bunch. He continually has the whole group laughing with his stunts, and fans are here for it.

Bachelor Nation is positive that Tyler Cameron will appear on Matt James’ season

“Oh, you know Tyler will make at least one appearance!” one Redditor wrote. “He’ll host a group date that involves a swimming pool, and some sort of funny aquatic game.”

The fan also added that the two men will both be shirtless and “bro-out” about the women later. With the various videos that Cameron and James post on TikTok, fans know that the franchise wants to put that on TV.

“You can almost guarantee Tyler is going to be in the first episode/introduction,” another fan added.

The portion of the audience that does not follow Cameron on social media will not know who James is, so host Chris Harrison will have to connect the dots. Having Cameron in the first episode will quickly explain how James was chosen.

‘The Bachelor’ franchise often brings back past leads

Fans of the show know that it is not uncommon for a past contestant or lead to appear on a new season of The Bachelor. In Peter Weber’s season, Hannah Brown came back to host a group date and profess to Weber that she made the wrong decision.

On Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of The Bachelorette, Nick Vial was not a contestant on her season but became part of the cast midway through. The two talked before her season, so the producers brought him on for the added drama.

If we know anything about Bachelor Nation, it’s that they would not hesitate to add to the excitement by bringing back Cameron for several episodes. ABC did not announce when filming might begin for James’ season. The Bachelor Season 25 will air in January 2021 if everything remains on schedule.
