‘The Bachelorette’: Who Is The New Lead for 2021? Why Are There 2? It’s Not Why You Think
Now that The Bachelor Season 25 with Matt James is coming to an end, everyone wants to know who is The Bachelorette 2021? Host Emmanuel Acho will host the “After the Final Rose” special on March 15 and tell everyone who the next Bachelorette lead will be for 2021. However, there’s a severe twist coming. Instead of one lead, there will be two — again. Here’s why.
Who is ‘The Bachelorette’ 2021?
Spoiler king Reality Steve Carbone answered the commonly asked question after The Bachelor season concludes, “Who is The Bachelorette 2021?” He has the inside scoop, and many fans believe he is never wrong.
The “After the Final Rose” Bachelor special filmed on March 12. It’s common for the new Bachelorette star to join the show at the end. For 2021, things are no different.
“I reported early last week that Katie [Thurston] was going to be announced as the next “Bachelorette” in the coming days,” Reality Steve told his fans on March 9. “It happened at the taping this past Friday. HOWEVER, there is some sort of twist to it.”
Katie Thurston left Matt James’ season of The Bachelor during week 6, placing 11th. However, fans loved her because of the ease with which she spoke the truth.
Reality Steve reveals the ‘After the Rose’ twist
That “twist” that the spoiler King referred to is another entire run of The Bachelorette in 2021. However, instead of a season like Tayshia Adams and Clare Crawley, each star will have a different chance to find love. Katie won’t choose her man and then leave the rest for the new Bachelorette lead. Instead, the producers are flipping the switch.
“Katie is the next Bachelorette,” Reality Steve began with the news. “And that still hasn’t changed. So maybe this isn’t a ‘twist’ per se; maybe ‘curveball’ is a better word for it.”
After Katie’s season films, Michelle Young will film the next season of The Bachelorette. So the question, “Who is The Bachelorette 2021?” has a complicated answer. Season 17 will feature Katie finding love, and then the following season will air in the fall and show Michelle’s journey.
Why are there 2 Bachelorettes in 2021?
The question on many fans’ minds right now is “Why?” If the producers wanted to choose Matt James’ runner-up, Michelle, why have Katie become The Bachelorette in 2021 first? The answer is because Michelle left her classroom to film with James in the fall of 2020, and she cannot leave the same group of children again in the spring.
“Michelle did not want to leave her class again to start filming in a few weeks (meaning she’d miss most of the remainder of her school year),” Reality Steve told fans. “She is getting her own season this summer when she’s out of school. That’s the ‘twist’ or ‘curveball’ you’ll see announced on the ATFR on Monday.”
When Does ‘The Bachelorette’ Start in 2021?
Viewers will watch Katie’s season of The Bachelorette in May of 2021.
“Katie will get her own full season of The Bachelorette that begins taping at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya in New Mexico in a few weeks,” Carbone continued. “Michelle’s Bachelorette season will film sometime after BIP films (most likely all of July) and air later on in the fall.
