Dale Moss and Clare Crawley got engaged on ‘The Bachelorette’

On Nov. 5, viewers of The Bachelorette saw Crawley decide she wanted to be with Moss, go on a date with him, dump the remaining men, and get engaged to Moss all in one episode. The episode begins with Chris Harrison visiting Crawley and telling her things can’t continue this way. She agrees and says she only really has eyes for Moss at this point.

So, she cancels the cocktail party and rose ceremony to have a one-on-one date with Moss. The two profess their love for each other, and the next day Crawley simultaneously breaks up with all of the other contestants. Harrison then goes to Moss and tells him that he has to propose, and so that’s what Moss does.

There is of course misleading editing along the way in previews to make it look like Moss might not say “I love you” back to Crawley, and then again that he might not propose. However, Moss never seemed to falter. At the end of the episode, fans were given a brief snippet of Crawley and Moss enjoying their time together outside of the bubble of the show.

Clare Crawley and Dale Moss on Instagram Live

As soon as their engagement aired on the East coast, both Moss and Crawley announced their engagement on their social media channels. Moss then posted on his Instagram story that he and Crawley would put on an Instagram Live to talk about their engagement.

During the Instagram Live, Crawley and Moss sat together and answered fans’ questions. Crawley also mentioned that while they had received a lot of hate, they wanted to use the Instagram Live to thank kind fans for their support.

Any time someone left a hateful comment, Moss and Crawley laughed and breezed by it. The Instagram Live also gave fans of The Bachelorette the opportunity to see Moss and Crawley in a more relaxed setting following their time on the show.

The new couple recently went house hunting

The two shared that they planned to release content showing all the times they had to go undercover to visit each other. Midway through the Instagram Live, Crawley pointed out that while Moss was celebrating and drinking, they would have to wake up in four hours to appear on Good Morning America.

When asked what they have been doing the past few months, Crawley replied that they have spent a lot of that time together.

“You’re gonna see the real Clare and Dale really after today,” Moss promised. “Stay tuned.”

Moss then said that the couple planned to go visit his family in South Dakota the following week.

A fan asked Moss and Crawley if they planned to do long distance now, and both replied that they did not. In fact, the new couple has already started house hunting, although they did not disclose what area they planned to settle down.

“We’ve already been looking,” Moss said.

“We went house hunting the other day,” Crawley seconded.
