Clare Crawley fell for Dale Moss quickly

Before the season started airing, several sources alleged that Crawley fell in love with Moss just two weeks after filming began. Rumors also began swirling that Crawley locked herself in a closet and refused to film. Now, Crawley has set the record straight on that.

“I did not quit the show,” she told  Entertainment Tonight “I stayed the whole time, I went, I did what I was going to do there. I showed up, I didn’t quit anything.”

“I can promise you I did not lock myself in a closet,” Crawley continued. “That was one [rumor] I heard that I was throwing a fit and I locked myself in a closet.”

Though Crawley alleged that she wasn’t so blinded by love that she locked herself in a closet, she did admit that her first meeting with Moss was “electric” and the connection was something that she had never felt so quickly.

“That was something that you can’t really anticipate with anybody, you don’t know,” she told the outlet.”[But I didn’t know] like, was he feeling that? Are we on the same page?

“Usually in my experience, as relationships go, there’s always somebody that’s ahead of the other person,” she continued. “It’s really rare that you connect on that same page at the same time, so it was just — it was one of those magical things that I guess just happens.”

And even before meeting Moss in person, Crawley already had her sights set on him after checking out his social media profiles.

“Dale, in a lot of his Stories, he would talk about his mom and he’d talk about his family,” she shared. “He was with his family a lot and that is something that deeply resonates with me. I just felt on any level, whether it be friendship, whether it be a romantic connection, I just felt like there would be that good connection with him. But you ultimately don’t know if it’s a romantic connection, because you’re just seeing him through social media.”

Dale has always wanted to be famous

When production halted due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Moss did a few interviews and now that those interviews have resurfaced, fans are not so sure about his intentions.

When asked about his career by Midco Sports Network, Moss talked about modeling and ultimately wanting to be an entertainment host.

“That’s always been one of my focuses,” he said, according to Entertainment Tonight. “I think how Ryan Seacrest has built a brand and really an empire is really amazing, and I would love to model my career after him.”

He also added that he has his own media company.

“Behind the lens, I’m doing a lot of producing,” he continued. “Live events — that’s obviously not happening now — and a documentary, that’s happening under my company, Moss Media. I’ve been so blessed to work with some of the greatest talent, we’ve worked with some of the greatest brands, and just be in a situation where I’m surrounded by people I can learn from each and every day. That’s really helped me grow.”
