‘The Bachelorette’: DeAnna Pappas Stagliano Guest Stars on Clare Crawley’s Season and Their Love Stories Are Eerily Similar
Tonight on The Bachelorette, DeAnna Pappas Stagliano joins Clare Crawley to talk about love at first sight. However, that’s not the only thing that the two women have in common. Their Bachelorette journeys are eerily similar.
What happened to DeAnna Pappas Stagliano on ‘The Bachelor’ and ‘The Bachelorette’?
DeAnna Pappas appeared as a contestant on The Bachelor Season 11 with lead Brad Womack. However, in one of the most controversial season finales in the show’s history, the Austin, Texas entrepreneur chose neither of his final choices. He did not feel strongly for any of the women on his season and decided to remain single. By some stroke of luck, Womack returned to the franchise to be the lead again in season 15.
As for Pappas, the franchise chose her as The Bachelorette lead for season 4 with her pick of 25 men at the Bachelor Mansion. The Real Estate Agent chose Jesse Csincsak over Jason Mesnick on the season finale of her season. However, the couple broke up after only a few months.
In 2009, while attending The Bachelorette “The Men Tell All” special, Pappas met Michael Stagliano, a contestant in season 5. He introduced her to his twin brother, Stephen Stagliano. She tells Clare Crawley during tonight’s episode that when she met her husband, she experienced that feeling of “When you know, you know.”
Stephen and Pappas married in Georgia on Oct. 22, 2011. They now have two children together, Addison Marie and Austin Michael.
How is Clare Crawley’s journey eerily similar to DeAnna Pappas Stagliano?
While many fans refer to Brad Womack’s first season of The Bachelor as “the most controversial,” others will never forget Juan Pablo Galavis’s ending. Crawley also made it to the final two during Galavis’s stint on The Bachelor. However, the former professional soccer player is often referred to as “the most hated Bachelor of all time.”
After Crawley’s final date with Galavis, he whispered an obscenity in her ear that she revealed later.
So, what did he say?! “He said, ‘I love f*cking you, but I don’t know you,'” a source confirmed to Us Weekly.
Crawley slapped Galavis during the season finale, and the man acted as if he was the one who dodged the bullet by not choosing her. She then appeared on two seasons of Bachelor in Paradise but could not find love. The hairstylist got engaged on The Bachelor Winter Games, but the engagement to Benoit Beauséjour-Savard only lasted a few months.
Both women had a challenging journey finding the love of their life. However, from everything in the previews for the upcoming season of The Bachelorette, it looks like it was love at first sight for both Crawley and Stagliano.
