‘The Bachelorette’: Hannah B. Doesn’t Exactly Regret Picking Jed Instead of Tyler C.
One of the most popular reality TV series of all time is ABC’s The Bachelorette. Full of drama, humor, and plot twists that both confuse and intrigue viewers everywhere, The Bachelorette started as a spinoff of The Bachelor but has now become equally, if not more popular than, the original show.
The most recent season saw Bachelorette Hannah Brown navigating her way through the perils of reality show romance and trying to choose the finest out of a group of eligible males.
Brown has faced considerable controversy since the series finale, with many fans questioning her decisions.
What do fans think of Hannah Brown?
While Hannah Brown was the star of the 15th season of The Bachelorette, she wasn’t new to the world of reality television. In fact, Brown was one of the girls featured on the 23rd season of The Bachelor. While Colton Underwood ultimately didn’t choose Brown to be his beloved, viewers enjoyed Brown’s down-to-earth personality and country girl accent. She seemed to be an excellent choice for the milestone early 2019 season of The Bachelorette.
The casting of Brown for Season 15 was somewhat controversial because contrary to previous Bachelorette leads, Brown had placed seventh in The Bachelor, while all previous contestants had placed no lower than fourth. Still, Brown was a fan favorite, and viewers tuned in regularly to watch her journey.
Why did Brown choose Jed instead of Tyler?
Two of the top contenders for Brown’s heart include Jed Wyatt and Tyler Cameron. Although both men courted Brown aggressively, and Cameron seemed like he would win the day with a romantic proposal, ultimately, Brown chose Jed Wyatt and the two were engaged.
That was far from the end of the story, as it was revealed following the Season 15 finale that Wyatt had been dating another girl when he began his run on The Bachelorette. Brown, resolving that she wouldn’t be in a relationship with a liar, ended her engagement to Wyatt.
In spite of her heartbreak at the hands of Wyatt, Brown isn’t dwelling on the past. In a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Brown opened up about her decision to choose Wyatt over Cameron. Brown claimed that she doesn’t regret her choice and that the entire experience has helped her to grow and become stronger. She also admitted to still having feelings for Cameron and only chose Wyatt initially because he seemed like the best option at the time.
What’s next for Brown?
As it turns out, Brown and Cameron could still get their happily-ever-after. Brown’s failed engagement to Wyatt has led to her reexamine Tyler Cameron and what he might have to offer – she even asked him out on TV special. Cameron agreed to the date suggestion.
In the days since, it appears that Brown and Cameron have taken their relationship to the next level. Cameron was even spotted leaving Brown’s home in early August, indicating to fans that things between them are progressing quite well indeed.
Even if Brown and Cameron seem to be heating things up, some fans aren’t happy at all with the way their journey has panned out. A lot of viewers took to social media to proclaim their irritation over Cameron becoming a “second choice,” and expressing the opinion that their relationship won’t last long at all.
A vast majority of fans even stated that Cameron “deserves better” and should be the lead on the next season of The Bachelor.
