‘The Bachelorette’: Hannah B. Hints That She Possibly Didn’t Get Engaged Or Find Love
We’re still early in Hannah Brown’s Bachelorette journey, and already things are getting pretty dramatic. Chris Harrison has said, prior to filming the finale, that he’s not sure if Hannah B. will end the show with a proposal.
“I wish I could guarantee [a proposal], but I cannot deliver… I don’t know, I would love to be able to do my job and deliver this, but I don’t know if we’re going to,” Harrison told Entertainment Tonight. “It might be a bumpy finish.”
Hannah B. won’t say she’s in love
Now that the finale’s been filmed, Hannah B.’s been doing interviews about her time as The Bachelorette. In a recent interview with Extra TV, she was asked how she was feeling, having just finished the finale.
“I’m really excited,” she answered. “I think I have so many emotions right now because we did just finish filming and ya’ll are just getting to see what I went through months ago. But I’m excited about it. I am super happy about how my journey went and I’m happy about the bad times too because it made me grow and it made me learn and really push myself.”
She spoke more about sharing her experience with America than finding love.
It should also be noted that Hannah B. is not good at hiding her emotions. Since we first met her on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor, we’ve always known exactly how she’s been feeling.
Hannah B.’s fellow Bachelor alum and friend Hannah Godwin recently spoke to ET about Hannah B.’s Bachelorette premiere and mentioned how her friend, famously, “wears all her emotions on her sleeve and on her face.”
It’s why she was ultimately chosen to be the Bachelorette–she’s so “real.” But that also means she’s easier to read in post-season interviews, and it’s looking like maybe she didn’t get the fairytale happy ending she wanted.
Extra TV also asked if Hannah B. was currently happy and in love.
“I am happy. I am so happy. Were there moments that were hard for me? Absolutely. Was this journey what I expected it to be? Absolutely not. But sitting here now I can say that I’m so happy for everything that’s happened and came out the other side alive and stronger,” she replied (notice the word ‘love’ was never mentioned).
Hannah B.’s ‘Bachelor’ franchise experience
No matter how her journey on The Bachelorette ends up, Hannah B. says the experience has made her stronger and more herself (again, sounds like something someone who’s not engaged would say).
“I look back on my life and just my time on The Bachelor until now and the girl who walked into the mansion on the first night is not the girl sitting in front of you right now. I really had to figure out what I want, who I am, and tap into that and lean in and that’s the good and the bad of who I am, and not having to apologize for that. Because at the end of the day we all want love and we all want somebody to love us for who we are, the good and the bad.”
