We all know Hannah B. from Colton’s season of The Bachelor as the awkward, spunky southern gal who wears her heart on her sleeve. After her relationship with Colton didn’t work out, she’s now The Bachelorette and searching for her own fairytale ending (or at least someone who’d jump a fence for her).
She was recently a guest on The Ellen Show, and shared the reason she believes she was chosen to be The Bachelorette.
“My journey on the bachelor was interesting. I definitely grew, but I had ups and downs. There were moments when I thought this would not happen. But I think the reason I’m here is because I was real, I was myself, and I showed every part of myself,” she told Ellen DeGeneres.
Hannah B’s connection with Colton
Even though Hannah B. got sent home before hometowns, she and Colton had a strong connection for much of the show. He encouraged her to be herself and open up (which, as she stated above, is the biggest reason she feels she was named The Bachelorette). If Colton’s any indication as to what kind of man Hannah B. is looking for, he’s going to be a silly hunk with a heart of gold.
She told DeGeneres that when she was watching the season back at home she really felt for Colton and what he was going through.
“I think it’s different for me to watch it than just an average viewer just because I had a relationship with Colton, and my heart broke for him because even though he broke my heart, too, he’s a good human and he has a good heart. That fence jump that was teased as this dramatic thing, it was real and it was raw and so, ultimately, I just want his happiness at the end of this and so I’m excited to see it work out for him.”
Will ‘Hannah Beast’ come out on ‘The Bachelorette’?
DeGeneres, of course, asked Hannah B. about her alter ego, Hannah Beast, and if she’ll be making an appearance on The Bachelorette.
“Oh for sure,” she replied. “I can’t wait actually to unleash the beast on some jabroni.”
Is Hannah B. ready for marriage?
When Degeneres asked Hannah B. if she was ready to get married at the end of her Bachelorette season, she confidently responded with an affirmative.
“Oh I’m so ready. I know I’m young but I would not have gone on this show if I hadn’t really thought about what was at the end of this.”
What Hannah B. is looking for in a husband
“Oh man, they gotta be good lookin’ heeey,” she laughed. “But just a good human. Good heart, kind, strong, but, ultimately, I want at the end of this to know that they know me, and know every part of me, and not just some version of myself that I like packaged together and was like ‘do you like this?’ and I think I’ve done that in the past, but the good and the bad and I want that in return.”
