‘The Bachelorette’: Hannah Brown Reveals What She Did When She Felt Overwhelmed While Filming

Hannah Brown has had a dramatic season of The Bachelorette. It’s no surprise that the reality star frequently felt overwhelmed while filming.

Contestants and stars alike aren’t allowed to bring personal items along during their time on the show, including books, magazines, movies, and cell phones. In the real world, when people feel stressed out they’ll calm down with a book or their favorite TV show. But when you’re the Bachelorette and you start to feel overwhelmed, what do you do? You have to get a little creative.

How Hannah Brown handled her stress while filming

On Friday, Brown shared on her Instagram stories what she used to do whenever she felt overwhelmed while filming: she’d stare at a wall for ten minutes.

“When I got overwhelmed and didn’t like people, i had 10 minute stare-at-wall-breaks,” she wrote.

Adding: “I was always of bundle of joy right?” tagging a few Bachelorette crew members.

To drift away, Brown would also periodically lie on the floor.

“A lot of laying on the floor happened as well,” she wrote in another story along with three photos of her lying on the ground with her eyes closed.

This lines up with an interview host Chris Harrison recently did with ET. He said Brown regularly took meditation breaks, especially during her final days as the Bachelorette in Greece.

“Hannah was really big on having time to meditate, time to reflect, and she really took time alone to think and to journal before she’d come talk to us. That’s what this is all about and where your decisions can change,” he said.

Harrison also said that the remainder of Brown’s season is about talking to her loved ones in order to make the right decision (so hopefully no more stare-at-wall-breaks).

“You really want this to be about Hannah talking with her mom and dad on camera, off camera, talking with brothers and sisters and friends — this is where you start getting counsel from the people you really count on and love,” he said. “And also producers — we love these people, we care for them. You’ve spent a lot of time with these people and been in the trenches with them — these producers you count on and you’ve befriended, this is where you’re leaning on them. We want to make this work.”

Brown also revealed in her Instagram stories how she used to prepare for dates: rocking out in the car with producers. She shared one clip of her loudly singing “We Will Rock You” by Queen.

“How i got ready for my dates. This should surprise no one,” she wrote.
