‘The Bachelorette’: How Hannah Brown Feels About Jed Wyatt’s Shady Post-Finale Instagram Activity
After Hannah Brown found out that her season winner had come on The Bachelorette with a girlfriend, she ended her engagement to Jed Wyatt. While Wyatt apologized on “After The Final Rose,” he also liked a couple of Instagram comments that suggest his apology was less than sincere.
“First and foremost, from the bottom of my heart, I want you to know that I’m sorry. Apparently, they’ve already shown where I half apologized but, especially in hindsight, now that I’ve had time to review myself and my past and my behaviors towards not only you but other people, I fully see that I wasn’t the best that I could be,” he told Brown during “After The Final Rose.”
He continued: “And by lacking details to you, the things that you deserve, and the things that you want, it kind of–not kind of–it ruined what we found here in a place that I never would have expected to find love like this with someone that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. And I know that you felt the same and I’m sorry that I took away that experience from you. I’m sorry that this has hurt your family, your friends, Bachelor Nation, everyone, my family, I’m sorry. I’m responsible for this. I will own up to it all day.”
The shady Instagram comments Jed Wyatt liked
The screenshots shared by Bachelorette fans showed Wyatt liking a comment that says: “Honestly I’m not quite sure why everyone hates on Jed so hard…Hannah was sleeping with several people throughout the season and he has to deal with that in her past…just like she needs to get over his. Like come on. It’s a television show I wouldn’t expect to fall in love either.”
He supposedly liked another comment that reads: “You’re better off without her Jed. If she couldn’t work through this with you, there’s no way she could work through some of life’s tougher challenges. We all have skeletons. When they come out, we at least try to work through them. If we can’t, we move on.”
Hannah Brown reacts to Jed Wyatt’s social media activity
In an interview with ET, Brown said she “[doesn’t] know why he liked those comments.”
She continued: “I think there’s always — when you’re hurt, because he’s hurt too, you want to justify things, and maybe that was just a way for him to see it in a way that explains some of his hurt. But you know, I think we all know what show we were on, and my dating relationships were very out in the open and everybody knew what they were a part of.”
Despite the comments he liked, Brown says she believes Wyatt really is remorseful.
“I do think that he is sorry. This not only hurt me and him, but his family and everyone,” she said.
Wyatt insists he didn’t realize he was liking the comments.
“The comment rolled into my notifications, I tapped it. Wherever I tapped it, it liked it,” he said on Ali Fedotowsky and Rachel Lindsay’s podcast, Bachelor Happy Hour.
