‘The Bachelorette’: Is Hannah Brown Destined to Have More Men Quit the Show over Luke P?
Luke Parker is the villain that keeps on giving. Every week, the Bachelorette contestant gives viewers something new to talk about. Even when he doesn’t get any special treatment from Hannah Brown, he still finds a way to get under the other guys’ skin.
This time, his actions were so annoying that Luke Stone eliminated himself. Since Parker shows no signs of slowing his abrasive ways down, we have to wonder whether Stone will be the only person who decides to send themselves home because of Parker.
What happened between Stone and Parker?
Stone has been a fan favorite since he first appeared on the “After the Final Rose” special. Mostly because he looked so much like former Bachelor Nick Viall.
During this week’s group date, the guys got into a pretty intense game of Rugby. As a result of the game, one of the men even had to go to the hospital. Stone felt that Parker was too aggressive during the game and that Parker was trying to hurt him on purpose. Later, he brought this up to Brown.
Instead of listening to what Stone was saying, Brown ended up sticking up for Parker, which caused Stone to send himself home.
Will other men send themselves home?
Self-eliminations on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette are always interesting. The contestants give up so much to come on the show and are all supposedly looking to get married to the lead. So when one gives all that up and sends themselves home, it’s always a big deal.
Lately, self-eliminations have become a lot more common than they were in the past. Colton Underwood, last season’s Bachelor, had more women send themselves home than any other Bachelor. The winner of his season even tried to send herself home.
In Brown’s case, it’s clear that the men are getting tired of Parker’s antics. And while, at times, it seems like Brown may be growing weary of them as well, she is overall more tolerant of him than anyone else in the mansion. The men may be able to handle Parker for a while, but if he continues acting the way he does, more might leave because of him.
Does Parker change his ways?
Not all villains remain villains. Sometimes a contestant will make it far enough on the show that they feel like they can let their guard down and drop their villain ways.
But according to Parker’s recent Instagram post, his antics this aren’t quite done yet.
“I just want to address the elephant in the room here really quick,” he captioned a photo of him and Brown.
“First I want you all to know how hard it has been for me to watch myself this season so far. Regardless of what is aired AND IF @alabamahannah and I are together or not my behavior in all situations has been and will continue to be exposed.”
But it does seem like watching himself back has shown him that it may be time for a change.
“I have learned a lot and I am continuing to learn about my flaws as a man,” he continued. “I’m the first to admit I am far from perfect. This journey has given me a great opportunity to grow and mature as a man, for that I am grateful.”
