‘The Bachelorette’: Is Hannah Brown Finally Over Luke P.?
Is it just us, or does it seem like Hannah Brown and Luke Parker’s relationship drama has been going on forever? From the moment they met to this week’s episode, the two have been on a journey of highs and lows that isn’t common for people who have only just met.
But Brown might finally be coming to terms with the fact that while Parker is interesting and she will never be bored with him, he may not be the best choice for a husband.
Parker has truly been on a downward spiral since episode one. But episode five is when he really started to put the nail in his coffin after outright lying to Brown about Luke Stone only being there to promote a tequila brand. Which, by the way, didn’t even exist at the time.
Ultimately, this caused Stone to send himself home, but not without warning Brown.
“I’m really sorry if I’ve caused you any pain,” he told her. “It’s just been hard for me to have to defend my character time and time again. I would just urge you to keep your eyes open for, I think you know who I’m talking about. Just be wary. Keep your eyes open, all right?”
Though she was finally starting to see what everyone was saying about Parker, Brown still couldn’t help but hold a place for him in her heart.
“Luke P. is still here because my heart wants him to be here,” she told the cameras. “My head doesn’t always want him to be here. It makes it really difficult to know what’s the best decision to make. We know we have crazy chemistry, but there are red flags, and I honestly haven’t had the time to explore our relationship the way that I feel like it needs to be explored.”
By the time her one-on-one date with Parker came around, she was ready to make a decision.
“There’s no denying the connection that we have,” Brown said to the camera. “There’s also no denying that there are red flags everywhere. He is very much disliked by every other man in the house. He doesn’t always express his emotions. He seems like he’s trying to be perfect, and it comes off really fake. Today I hope we can kind of get down to the bottom of these crucial questions for our relationship. Either today is the first one-on-one with my future husband or it’s the first and last one-on-one date with Luke.”
Parker tries to win Brown over
On their date, Parker wanted to focus on the positive parts of their relationship, but the former beauty queen had other plans.
“I just feel like you say things that you know that I’m going to like and that are important to me and I just want to talk to you about normal stuff,” she told him. “Crap happens and I just want to know, like, do you like macaroni and cheese or spaghetti more? I just want to know the real stuff. It’s frustrating. I feel like you’re just talking in ways that sound good.”
Later, Parker tried one last ditch effort to save himself.
“I love every single thing about you,” he told Brown over dinner. “The way you’ve handled everything. Even your flaws.”
“There’s sometimes I’m a freakin’ devilish bitch!” Brown responded, denying that she was perfect.
Brown ended the date not wanting to give Parker a rose.
“This is not going anywhere,” she said. “I don’t know what reason I have to give Luke a rose.”
