‘The Bachelorette’: Luke P.’s Sister-In-Law Didn’t Like How Hannah Brown ‘Talked Down To The Guys’ All Season

Luke Parker’s sister-in-law, Hannah Parker, has been pretty vocal about her thoughts concerning The Bachelorette and Hannah Brown this season. Considering the behavior Luke’s exhibited on the show, and the way he’s been perceived, it’s understandable that the Parker family is feeling more than a little defensive right now.

Hannah Parker’s Instagram page isn’t filled with too many Bachelorette posts. There’s one showing her baby girl with a rose to congratulate “Uncle Luke” for getting cast on the show, one about the hometowns episode, and one about what this season has taught her.

“The past few days I’ve been on an emotional roller coaster. My heart aches for my daughter who has to grow up in this world,” she began her post

“If @luke_parker777 going on the bachelorette has shown me anything its that I’m so guilty of living life in my little bubble that I don’t see the evil right outside of my everyday routine, a world that is so desperate for Biblical Truth. The show has convicted me of the need to live my life of faith above reproach because I’ve now seen first hand the confusion and corruption that “Cultural Christianity” brings. “For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,” Titus 2:11-12. My prayer for Kennedy is that she knows God’s Grace not as an entitled gift but something that came at an Immeasurable price,” she wrote, not mentioning Brown’s name, but obviously referring to Luke’s criticism of Brown’s alleged lack of “self-control.”

On her Instagram stories, Hannah Parker’s been a lot more candid about her Bachelorette opinions.

“Another thing that I have not liked this season is Hannah, multiple times, has talked down to the guys and not let them talk and basically said that it’s all about her. I don’t like that. I understand that she’s the Bachelorette, I understand that it’s her journey to find love but it’s also–all the guys that are there–it’s about them, too. They could be proposing to you at the end of this so I hope that they’re taking it as seriously as you are. Hannah straight up told Luke she didn’t care about his heart,” she said in her Instagram stories after the “Men Tell All” episode, referring to the moment Brown asked Parker to leave when he showed up at the fantasy suite rose ceremony to propose despite having been eliminated.

Hannah Brown opened up about her relationship with Luke P. during ‘Men Tell All’

During “Men Tell All,” Brown opened up about her toxic relationship with Luke. She spoke about how she felt misled, shamed, and disrespected, as she did when she eliminated Luke and he arrived at the rose ceremony anyway.

“I had been blind to everything that had been happening. […] Now I’m like I will not put up with this because that’s not love, that’s not what the person I want to spend the rest of my life with’s ever gonna make me feel. I’m so over being slut-shamed and feeling like that makes me not a woman of faith because oh my gosh, I live my life and make mistakes and sin every single day and so do you, and so do you, and so do you, and so do you. That’s what grace is for. I’m also not gonna say that me having sex in a windmill was just like the scarlet letter on my chest. I’m not gonna stand here and feel that way. You’re not gonna make me feel that way,” she said to uproarious applause.
