‘The Bachelorette’: Luke Parker Still Doesn’t Think He Was Slut Shaming Hannah Brown During Their Sex Talk

The Bachelorette had a lot of drama involving one contestant who was Luke P. or Luke Parker. That’s because he was pretty jealous and refused to be sent home multiple times.

Hannah Brown finally was done with him after he talked to her about sex. Find out why he still doesn’t think he was slut shaming her despite many people saying otherwise.

Luke Parker was called out for slut shaming while on ‘The Bachelorette’

Parker was a very controversial contestant on this last season of The Bachelorette. Many fans viewed him as slut shaming Brown and Tyler Cameron agreed.

There was a time when Parker was angry to find out she went naked bungee jumping with Garrett Powell for a date. Cameron called him out for his double standards.

“Do you not think it’s a double standard the fact that you’re able to parade around in a speedo in front of everybody and show your big bravado self?” Cameron asked Parker. “But she can’t go bungee jumping?”

Parker eventually voiced his anger to Brown and that didn’t go over well either. She said naked bungee jumping wasn’t a “sexual thing.” She added, “But even if it was at this point it doesn’t matter because you’re not my husband. You don’t own my body. You don’t own me. It’s my body.”

This wouldn’t be the last time they bump heads. Parker’s time on the show came to an end on a bad note.

Hannah Brown sent him home after their talk about sex

Parker managed to make it to Fantasy Suites. However, he had a lot to say about Brown having sex on their date. Parker said:

And thinking about Fantasy Suites, like I’ve heard people proclaim their faith, but yet they’ve said things like, ‘I’m excited for Fantasy Suites, I want to explore this relationship on a sexually intimate level, and that’s what I’m looking forward to,’ and to me that’s like, uh, what, excuse me? There’s something I’m missing here.

He added, “Like I don’t believe that’s something that you should be doing and I just want to make sure you’re not going to be sexually intimate with the other relationships here.”

Brown was very upset by this. She told him that she had sex in a windmill twice and that he should go home.

The reality star later talked about the moment. “My faith is really important, and some people question that, but like I said, I don’t hold anything back, and part of a relationship is being sexually attracted to somebody,” she told People.

Parker said he wasn’t slut shaming her

It has been some time since the episode aired and Parker is now talking about the controversial moment. He still doesn’t think he was slut shaming the reality star.

“She told me she shared the same heart and convictions as me and she wanted to abstain from sex before marriage,” he said on Reality Steve’s podcast. He claimed Brown told him this on their date in Greece. “That’s why I’m so confused and that’s why you see the look on my face when she tells me about the windmill.”

He noted that after she told him about her time in the windmill he wanted to “make things right with her” and wanted to “fight for her.”

He believes this is somehow proof that he wasn’t shaming her. “Which, if I was judging or slut-shaming, I would not be trying to do that at all,” he said.

Parker continued to deny that he had a problem with her having sex. “It was the fact that she told me that was what she didn’t want to do,” he said.

Brown has moved on from the situation. She is now competing on Dancing with the Stars.
