Tayshia Adams on ‘The Bachelor’

Fans first met Adams during Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor. He and Adams had such a strong connection that she made it to his top three. Unfortunately for Adams, Underwood had more feelings for Cassie Randolph and broke up with Adams.

After her time on The Bachelor, Adams appeared on Bachelor in Paradise. She dated both Derek Peth and John Paul Jones, which caused the men to feud over her. Eventually, she broke things off with Peth and ended the season with Jones. The two broke up shortly after filming.

Why was Tayshia chosen?

Clare Crawley’s fast feelings for Dale Moss put production in a hard position as the other men started to feel shortchanged.

By episode 3, ABC executive Rob Mills knew they had to do something.

“At that point, the producers started discussing like, ‘What would happen if she wants to leave with Dale?’” he told Variety. “And that’s when the producers thought that maybe we should reach out to Tayshia.”

Ultimately, Adams was a good choice for this group of men because she and Crawley wanted similar things.

“Tayshia had been through a divorce, so I think there is a lot of maturity that comes with that, and she is super serious about settling down, just like Clare was, so it actually did not seem like a huge stretch for these guys,” Mills said. “Also, you have to remember that we cast a lot of guys that weren’t necessarily announced for Clare because she was announced as the Bachelorette so late, so some of these guys would have been there for someone else that was chosen as the lead, anyway.”

Tayshia Adams beauty routine

Since Adams appeared on last week’s episode, fans have been talking about how amazing she looked. She recently spoke to Refinery29 and revealed some of her beauty secrets.

For acne treatment, Adams uses The Inkey List’s Salicylic Acid cleanser which she found on Instagram.

“I kept seeing ads pop up and I thought: This is $10, there’s no way it can actually work. But now, it’s my favorite thing ever,” she told the outlet. It can be purchased at Sephora for $7.99.

After the cleanser, Adams uses a toner, her favorite is the witch hazel toner which you can get for $10.95 at Ulta. Because she has sensitive skin, Adams follows that up with a light serum. On most days, she uses Blemish & Age Prevent by SkinCeuticals. After the serum, she puts on the Jet Lag Mask by Summer Fridays. The mask is $48 on the Summer Friday’s website.

To protect herself from the sun, Adams wears Dermalogica UV sunscreen. The Prisma Protect spf30 that Adams likes is $65 at Sephora. On days where Adams has to be on camera, she likes to do a little eye mask. The Blaq Activated Charcoal Eye Mask that she uses is available in a 5 Pack for $30 from Revolve.

For makeup, Adams uses Lancôme Grandiose Multi-Benefit Lengthening, Lifting and Volumizing Mascara, which you can get at Sephora for $30. She also uses NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, which can be purchased for $30 at Sephora.

Adams loves the Steve Laurant Chic Lip Liner. It can be purchased on Steve Laurant’s website for just $15. When it comes to her face, Adams likes the Huda Beauty 3D Cream and Powder Highlighter Palette.

“I’m not a huge highlighter person, but there’s this Huda palette with these insane highlighters, and I love them so much,” she said. “I’ll put a little on my cheekbones, down my nose, and over my cupid’s bow — I love my cupid’s bow.”

You can snag the pallet for $45 at Sephora. And finally, to set it all, Adams uses the Urban Decay Jumbo All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray, which is only $32.00 at Sephora.
