‘The Bachelorette’: How Does Tayshia Adams Feel About Her Ex, Blake Moynes, Competing for Katie Thurston?

When it comes to Bachelor nation relationships, there’s a lot of overlap. One season of The Bachelorette, a man may be professing his love for one woman only to compete for her friend’s heart a few weeks later on Bachelor in Paradise. Previews for Katie Thurston’s season showed contestant Blake Moynes crashing the competition. Moynes previously competed in both Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams’ seasons. So, how does Adams feel about mentoring Thurston as the new Bachelorette potentially finds love with her ex?

How does Tayshia Adams feel about Blake on this season of ‘The Bachelorette’?

In previews, Moynes is shown crashing the season and arguing his case to compete for Thurston. Coincidentally, Adams is mentoring Thurston this season too, which could get awkward. But Adams actually supported Moynes joining the competition.

“I was like, ‘First of all, what are you doing here? But also, I know your heart, you’re a kind person, and if this is where you feel like you should be, then I’m going to support you in that,'” Adams told People of seeing Moynes show up. “But I didn’t know how she’s going to feel. So it’s going to be really interesting to watch that play out.”

Thurston, on the other hand, did think it was a bit weird when Moynes arrived.

“I definitely knew who he was, which also Tayshia’s ex-boyfriend! So that’s weird,” Thurston told Us Weekly. “We had chatted before, but usually what happens is, like, the guys will reach out to the women once they’re eliminated and be like, ‘Good luck, you did great.’ Like very generic, you know? And so to see him, I was like, ‘Why is he here?’ Like, ‘What’s happening?’”

Is Blake Moynes over Tayshia?

Moynes may be trying to compete for Thurston now, but in December, he was still hung up on Adams.

“The connection [I had with Tayshia] was very slow,” he told the outlet after being eliminated. “But every time that we’d make a step, I think I opened her eyes more and more and more. And I think you saw that a couple of times, like, ‘Every time I talk to Blake, he shows a different side of him.’ And that’s what happened. I think she had her guard up just like she said at the Men Tell All, I walked in with a red flag over my head [because I had feelings for Clare Crawley too].”

He left the show feeling like there was still something between him and Adams.

“If it was Tayshia from the beginning, I think my story would have been a little bit different. It was tough because I felt, like, even emotionally, I could feel it, like, she could see something there,” he said. “And it was so frustrating to get in the limo and be like, ‘There’s something here but you’re just not letting it happen.’ And that was the most unfortunate.”

Hopefully, Moynes will have better luck with Thurston but it has yet to be confirmed whether Thurston actually allowed Moynes to join her season.
