‘The Bachelorette’: This is Who Tyler C. Wants to be the Next Bachelor
We are well into Bachelor in Paradise, but we still have no clue who will be the next Bachelor! There are two huge things that determine whether a person will be the Bachelor or not.
- How they do on their season of The Bachelorette. If they are well-liked and have a really rough breakup then their chances of being the Bachelor sky-rocket.
- How they do on Bachelor in Paradise. If they do amazing on The Bachelorette but then turn around and make fools of themselves in Paradise a la Dean Unglert and Blake Horstmann, then they most likely won’t get the role of Bachelor. On the other hand, if they just do okay on The Bachelorette but become fan favorites on BIP like Nick Viall and Colton Underwood, then they have a great chance of being the Bachelor.
Who is in the running to be the next Bachelor?
After Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette, there were three men who were front runners to be the Bachelor. First, was Mike Johnson. Johnson’s smile paired with his genuine desire to find love made him a fan favorite almost immediately.
“Of course he’s a contender [for Bachelor],” host Chris Harrison recently told People of Johnson. “How could he not be a contender with that smile? He’s one of my favorite people we’ve ever had on the show. He’s a love of a man. I don’t know him that well, and I consider him a really good friend.”
“He’s just a sweet guy,” he continued. “He gives the best hugs, the best smiles, and the best advice. He’s just a really good man and yeah, of course, he’s a contender.”
Peter Weber has also been in the running after coming in third place on Brown’s season.
And at first, Tyler Cameron, Brown’s runner up, seemed to have a good shot at being the Bachelor, but shortly after the season wrapped he began hanging out with model Gigi Hadid.
“Although Gigi and Tyler are spending more and more time together, they are still casually dating,” a source recently told Entertainment Tonight.
“Gigi went through a breakup from a serious relationship and Tyler just got off a dating show,” the source said of Hadid’s breakup with former One Directioner Zayn Malik. “The two are enjoying building a friendship first, going on dates and having fun. Nothing more than that right now.”
Though he and Hadid aren’t serious, his public dating pretty much takes him out of the running to be the Bachelor.
And now, Derek Peth has also entered the running for the lead role after being dumped by Demi Burnett on Paradise.
Who does Cameron want to be the Bachelor?
Now that Cameron’s sights are not on the Bachelor position anymore, he does have a few opinions about who should get the job.
“Mike is an incredible guy. Pete is an incredible guy,” Cameron told People. “Dustin [Kendrick], out of nowhere. I love Dustin. I think Dustin got really overshadowed, but he’s like the sweetest guy ever. We’re running the Chicago Marathon together, and I am a huge fan of Dustin, but — you know, you can’t go wrong with any of those guys. Yeah, it’ll be fun to watch.”
