‘The Bachelorette’: Tyler C.’s Favorite Compliment He Gets From Fans
Tyler Cameron was a fan favorite during Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette, but after the season finale, he’s been making headlines for reportedly spending the night with Brown and going on a date with supermodel Gigi Hadid.
He has 2 million followers on Instagram and he’s only growing in popularity post-season.
Tyler C. is adjusting to being in the spotlight
Cameron says he’s still adjusting to this new degree of attention but he’s no stranger to the spotlight.
“It was crazy, it was wild [during the finale]. I don’t think it’s gotten too intense. I’m very thankful for football, and it’s kind of put me in the light before…not nearly as big as this light, but it’s kind of prepared me for what to expect and navigate through this,” he said in a recent interview with Glamour.
Cameron went on to say that he’s happy to take pictures with and talk to fans.
“If I can take the time out of my day to take a picture with somebody and make their day a little better, I’ll do it every single time. When I was a little kid going to spring training baseball games, there was this Montreal Expos player named Brad Fullmer,” he said. “He was my biggest superhero because after an inning he would flip me a baseball. That little moment in time, when he made that gesture, meant the world to me. So I try to reciprocate that with other people, even if it’s taking a picture or chatting with them for a couple minutes.”
Fans love how respectful Tyler C. was on ‘The Bachelorette’
One of the reasons Cameron was and is so popular with fans is that he comes off as incredibly respectful.
Fans were particularly impressed at how Cameron handled fantasy suites with Brown. She requested that the two not sleep together in the fantasy suite and he was, of course, happy to oblige. In his interview with Glamour, Cameron elaborated on his attitude during the filming of that episode.
“That’s all about being respectful and keeping it real. It’s about respecting and honoring each other’s boundaries. I think that’s the best way to really carry out a relationship, to take care of each other’s boundaries. When those boundaries are set, you love on those boundaries and don’t push ’em,” he said.
In fact, Cameron says one of his favorite compliments he receives is when mothers tell him that they made their sons watch Brown’s season to witness his example.
“I think one of my favorite compliments I got was that a lot of moms come up to me and say they make their sons watch the show because of me. That means a lot. I just want to be a good example for my little brothers. How that translates to everyone else [is awesome]. I’m very grateful for how my parents raised me and the experience I’ve had in my life to lead me to where I am today,” he said.
