‘The Bachelorette’: Tyler Cameron Finally Opens Up About His Split From Gigi Hadid

Celebrity relationships are notorious for being short-lived. But at the beginning of their relationship, Tyler Cameron and Gigi Hadid seemed to be set to change all that. What started as a casual fling, looked to get pretty serious, pretty quickly. Cameron even flew to the Netherlands for Hadid’s grandmother’s funeral.

But unfortunately, Hadid and Cameron were no match for the celebrity relationship curse and eventually called it quits.

Though the breakup was pretty inevitable, it was still a bit of a shock for fans who had been following the two.

Gigi Hadid and Tyler Cameron’s relationship

Hadid and Cameron got together after Cameron went on The Bachelorette to compete for Hannah Brown’s heart. Unfortunately, in the end, Brown picked Jed Wyatt and Cameron left heartbroken.

Hadid was there to mend Cameron’s broken heart and the two began dating shortly after The Bachelorette finished airing. But eventually, the constant public attention became quite stressful for the pair.

“The media attention has been hard on Tyler and Gigi,” a source told People. “They’re trying to navigate it right now because they know how the press can pick apart every date they have and turn it into something bigger.”

But despite the constant presence of the media, the two continued to try to make it work.

“Tyler said they’ve really connected,” a source told the outlet. “He’s a really nice guy and Gigi sees that in him. He was glad to be by her side at her grandmother’s funeral — that meant a lot to him.”

Gigi Hadid and Tyler Cameron break up

Though they were only together for a short time, Cameron is still grateful for the relationship.

“Just meeting someone that was great,” he told PeopleTV’s Reality Check. “She’s a great person, and I met a great friend. She’s someone that I have a lot of respect for and think highly of, so I met a great person.”

And their split wasn’t messy in the slightest.

“I took it as I met a great person, a great friend,” he said. “It wasn’t like a bad breakup or anything like that. It was just, we’re at different parts of our lives right now.”

Will Cameron get back with Hannah Brown?

Ever since Brown sent Cameron home on The Bachelorette, people have wanted the two to get back together. Viewers wanted to see him and Brown get engaged rather than Brown and Wyatt.

Before Cameron began dating Hadid, Brown asked him on a date and it seemed like the two were destined to reconnect. Now that Cameron is single again, everyone has been wondering whether he would be open to dating Brown again.

But Cameron doesn’t seem to be thinking about rekindling things right now.

“We’re friends and I think she’s an incredible girl and I have so much love for her and I want her to be successful and have the best,” he recently told Us Weekly. “I don’t know about the future. I’m just trying to worry about today and tomorrow, you know?”

In fact, he isn’t really thinking of dating anyone.

“I don’t mean no in a negative way, I’ve just never thought of it,” he told the outlet of why he isn’t looking to date Bachelor women. “Like, here’s beautiful girls and great girls I’ve met, but I haven’t even thought about dating in that sense. I only know a few of them and they’re all great. … But like I said, dating girls is, like, the least of my worries right now. I’m so busy and running around. I’ll be in Toronto this weekend, Boston Monday and then Jupiter, [Florida] for the week to finally relax and hang with the family.”
