‘The Bachelorette’: What Tyler C. Loves Most About Being A Model
“I was gonna move up here [New York], whatever happened with the show. Because houses are always gonna be built, renovated, there’s always gonna be opportunities there. But there’s a shelf life to modeling and these opportunities so I’m trying to run with it and see what it has to offer,” he said on the Bachelor Party podcast.
He explained that, before heading out to Los Angeles to film the show, he had been sleeping on his friend’s couch in the city trying to get his modeling career off the ground.
“I got the call Valentine’s day. I was on a modeling job actually. I was a doorman at a Cartier store. I was on that waiting for the call. Got the call, was super hyped about it. But then I was up in New York after that just like three or four weeks doing a bunch of test shoots, trying to get my book built, and work with my agency up here,” he said.
Tyler C.’s favorite thing about modeling
During his interview with the podcast, Cameron was asked if modeling is what he wants to do long-term.
“Modeling is something that is a vehicle for me,” he replied. “I really thoroughly enjoy modeling for the fact that I’ve met such amazing people. It’s definitely taken some time to get used to being behind the camera, getting me comfortable with that and embracing that,” he said.
In fact, what Cameron loves most about modeling is getting to meet and collaborate with lots of interesting people from all over the world.
“What I loved about [a recent shoot he did] was the producers, one was from Argentina, one was from Spain, the photographer was from Russia, the stylist was from San Diego, and the makeup and hair was from Japan. Modeling brought us all together. And were all sitting here in this car having these conversations. Just nonstop talking and laughing. It’s just so cool, all walks of life come together. That’s like my favorite thing about modeling,” he said.
Tyler C. is hustling to build his modeling career
Cameron says he has lots of exciting modeling projects on the horizon. In the meantime, he’s hustling to gain and strengthen his industry contacts and set up as many meetings as his schedule allows.
“It’s been a lot of meetings lately, bouncing around and trying to coordinate. It’s been a whirlwind since the show’s ended. Just trying to coordinate these ABC Food Tours, trying to coordinate things with what I’m trying to do with my career. In the modeling world, this month is kind of a dead month, which has been nice. It’s been nice to just try and set meetings up, get things rolling, get the ideas going and all that. Just been kind of going around from meeting to meeting getting to know different people,” he said.
