‘The Bachelorette’: Why Chris Harrison is Doubtful Hannah Brown Will Get a Proposal

Things aren’t looking too good for new Bachelorette, Hannah Brown. Her season hasn’t even premiered yet and her journey to love is already a little shaky.

In the past week alone, we have learned that three men were sent home before filming even got started and saw a promo of Brown confronting one of the men for possibly having a girlfriend.

Can this ‘Bama girl catch a break?

Things have gotten so weird on the show that even host Chris Harrison has expressed concern and doesn’t know if Browns’s Cinderella story will get a happy ending.

Does Chris Harrison think that Brown will get a proposal?

From day one, Brown has made it clear that she wants to get married. Even when she was just a contestant on The Bachelor, getting down the aisle has always been her goal.

Though she started her Bachelorette journey with 30 men to choose from, she still may not get asked the one question that matters most at the end of the process.

“I wish I could guarantee [a proposal], but I cannot deliver…  I don’t know, I would love to be able to do my job and deliver this, but I don’t know if we’re going to,” Harrison recently told Entertainment Tonight. “It might be a bumpy finish.”

At the time of Harrison’s interview, Brown was about to film her finale episode.

“Sitting here now, I really don’t know how it’s going to end,” the host said. “I am hopeful and she is hopeful, but the way she wants to find love and the way she is going about this is really true and sincere. She is not just going to do it to do it, and as rough as it has been and as wild as it has been, I am not sure she is going to be able to get there. And that is because she doesn’t know if she will be able to get there. So, I am interested as anybody to see how this all wraps up.”

Why does Harrison think the season was so rocky?

There are always a few bad eggs on any season of The Bachelorette. But this year, there may have been more spoiled eggs than good ones.

“There is a guy not there for the right reasons, then there are the guys that just rub everyone the wrong way, that everyone loves to hate,” Harrison continued. “It’s just stuff she has to deal with constantly, and every time we think we’re over it, it rears its ugly head and she has to get back in.”

“It really got to the point where honestly, it started taking away from her being the Bachelorette. It took away from the entire season and the chance for her to find love, and it may cause her not to find love at the end of this.”

Has there ever been a Bachelorette who didn’t get a proposal?

Recently, the men on The Bachelor had finally gotten into the habit of proposing at the end of each season before Colton Underwood broke the streak and became the first Bachelor in five years not to propose.

The Bachelorette has never ended without a proposal.
