‘The Bachelorette’: Why Hannah Brown Doesn’t Regret Picking Jed Wyatt for the Final Rose
Hannah Brown picked Jed Wyatt at the end of her season of The Bachelorette. That turned out to be a mistake because he was lying about being single while going on the show. She still says she doesn’t regret how things turned out and this is the reason why.
Hannah Brown picked Jed Wyatt then later broke off their engagement
The Bachelorette finale came down to Tyler Cameron and Wyatt. Brown decided to pick the singer who also proposed. However, that wasn’t their happy ending.
Brown revealed that the second night after they got engaged Wyatt claimed he was hanging out with a girl before the show. However, he claimed that things ended between them. News then broke that the relationship didn’t officially end before he went on the show.
“The article said that he didn’t really end the relationship before he came here,” Brown said. “The extent of that and what was withheld from me after I’ve already said ‘yes’ was not okay. Jed has muddied the waters of our future together and it’s not what I thought I said ‘yes’ to.”
Brown also confronted Wyatt about his lies. “Nothing is ever like how you plan it to be, but I just feel like this experience has been taken away from me because I didn’t know all the details,” she said. “I was being told half-truths and lies and you wanted me to have clarity and clarity means truth. You got to see all of me, I didn’t get to see all of you.”
She then asked out Tyler C.
The reality star got to reunite with the runner-up after talking about her breakup. She admitted that her feelings for Cameron weren’t completely gone.
“I know that with Tyler, he’s been so supportive and so respectful of me, not just on our journey together but even afterwards,” she said on the show. “Our relationship was real to me and special. Everything I said I meant and I felt. It didn’t just go away. I still have feelings.”
She also gave an update on how she is doing after the experience. “I’m really confident in who I am now and being on my own and growing and really taking everything that I’ve learned and what I want into the next relationship,” she said.
When she was face to face with Cameron again she had an interesting proposal. “I want somebody to be bold and I’m bold and I make bold moves. You’re an incredible guy and I’m a single girl. I thought maybe we could go for a drink and just hang out,” she said. He responded with, “I would love to. Just tell me when. I’m there.”
She said she doesn’t regret it
The reality star might not be with the person she picked anymore, but she doesn’t have any regrets. She talked to Jimmy Kimmel about what she got from the experience.
Kimmel asked her if she regrets picking Wyatt over Cameron. She answered, “I became a lot stronger of a woman throughout all I went through, so I don’t want to say I regret it. But he is pretty great.”
The beauty queen previously gave similar statements about her season. “I am happy,” she told Extra TV. “I am so happy. Were there moments that were hard for me? Absolutely. Was this journey what I expected it to be? Absolutely not. But sitting here now I can say that I’m so happy for everything that’s happened and came out the other side alive and stronger.”
It sounds like Brown grew from the experience. The ending of her season might be unexpected, but she doesn’t regret a thing.
