‘The Bachelorette’: What Jed Wyatt’s Alleged Ex-Girlfriend Wants To Say To Hannah Brown

Bachelorette front-runner Jed Wyatt’s alleged ex-girlfriend, Haley Stevens, came forward recently to let the public know that Jed went on The Bachelorette as her boyfriend, and intended to return to her when the season ended.

The fellow Nashville-based musician just spoke to ET about why she chose to come forward, and what she wants Bachelorette Hannah Brown to know.

After going public with her former relationship with Jed, Haley has something she wants to say to Hannah B.:

“Be true to yourself,” she told ET. “She’s confident, she’s held her own from everything I’ve seen and heard and read. She is holding her own.”

From what she’s seen of Hannah B. on The Bachelorette, Haley is confident that she’ll handle the Jed situation with strength and grace.

“In the short bits of things I’ve seen about Hannah, she is really freaking strong,” she said. “People comparing and just questioning her decisions… she has handled it with grace and strength and stayed true to herself, so I have no doubt in my mind that she took care of [the situation with Wyatt] in what way was best for her.”

Why Jed Wyatt’s ex-girlfriend, Haley Stevens, chose to come forward

Haley has said Jed assured her that his intentions for going on The Bachelorette were purely rooted in promoting his music. He planned to get to the top five and go home.

Haley took a screenshot of a text conversation she had with Jed just before he took off for Los Angeles.

“I love you! Don’t forget that. Everything is always working out

It all adds up.

Meditate, pray, center yourself in positive energy!” he wrote her.

Haley says she responded:

“I love you! You’re such a light to me and to everyone you surround yourself with. I can’t wait for the whole world to know you Jed. You are so special and you are going to be so great! I’m all yours and I’m going to miss you like crazy. Go be an inspiration and a light. I’ll be praying for you (and me) and your family everyday!”

When Jed returned to Nashville without contacting her, Haley says she felt “embarrassed” and heartbroken, but not shocked. Haley told ET that she understood how Jed could form a real connection with Hannah B.

“I said, ‘You could really fall for this person,'” Stevens said of her alleged conversation with Wyatt before filming. ET says she was tearing up. “This is a person I’m very much in love with, telling me, ‘I love you, I’m not going to fall for her.’ And in hindsight, there are so many parts of this that… this was the first person I had ever said I love you to.”

She came forward to tell her side of the story.

“My message in this is not in any way negative toward anyone or trying to be hurtful to anyone. It was solely that people were saying they were going to tell my story — me, real girl, real life — and I wasn’t going to have any control of that. It didn’t seem fair that nobody was going to stand up for me here,” she explained.

Because watching Jed on The Bachelorette has been painful for Haley, she hasn’t seen too much of this season.

“Somebody else asked me, ‘Do you think it’s real? If they’re together, do you think it’s real?’ I really, really hope so — and I hope that he was honest,'” she said. “This is a person that I loved that could just be engaged to someone else, so, that’s not easy, but if they are [together at the end of the show], I hope it’s real and I hope it’s right. That’s really all I can say.”
