The Best Shows to Watch on Hulu to Make Social Distancing a Breeze

We know, you’re bored. As everyone around the world tries to practice social distancing and self-isolating to stop the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), people are running out of things to do. Luckily, streaming services like Netflix and Hulu are full of shows, movies, and documentaries to help you pass the time. Here are some of the best things on Hulu to watch until it’s safe to hang out with people in real life again.

Dave is a new show that just premiered earlier this month on FX. It follows rapper Lil’ Dicky as he tries to make it in the rap world as a dorky-looking suburban kid. The comedic timing and awkward cast are the perfect pick me up to brighten a long day of staying indoors. The show airs on FX on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. and is available on Hulu the next day.

‘Love Island’

If ever there was a show to eat up hours of your time, it’s Love Island. The show puts attractive singles in a villa together and makes them either couple up or go home. It may sound like a bunch of other reality shows, but trust us, it’s extremely addicting. You can currently watch Love Island USA, the original UK version, and Love Island Australia all on Hulu. The UK version has a healthy six seasons available with about 50 episodes per season. Love Island Australia’s seasons are a little bit shorter with about 30 episodes per season and only two available seasons. Love Island USA was much less popular than it’s UK counterpart and only has one season.

‘Little Fires Everywhere’

Little Fires Everywhere is also a new addition to Hulu. The show is an adaptation of Celest Ng’s novel of the same name.

It follows Mia, played by Kerry Washington, and her daughter Perl, played by Lexi Underwood, who are living in their car as they move to Shaker Heights, Ohio. While there, they meet Elena Richardson (Reese Witherspoon) who agrees to rent Mia her rental home. From the moment the show starts, it clear that both women have secrets. The story follows them as their lives intertwine and they both reveal things about one another.

‘Good Girls’

The third season of Good Girls just began airing in February so it’s the perfect time to catch up on the series. It follows three suburban moms who are having money troubles. In season one, the women decide to rob a supermarket to make some quick money, but unfortunately, that one robbery leads to a life of crime that none of the women saw coming. Good Girls is funny, suspenseful, and endearing, all at the same time.

’90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days’

If you ever wanted confirmation that you are doing better than you think, watch an episode of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days. The people on the show are usually either completely delusional or scamming someone. It follows Americans who are in international relationships as they meet their significant others before applying for the K-1 visa to move them to the United States. While some of the couples do end up staying together, the majority of the Americans end up alone after the relationships go up in flames. It’s quality reality tv.
