‘The Big Bang Theory’: Kaley Cuoco Is Keeping This Item From the Set to Remember the Show

Kaley Cuoco won over America’s heart as Penny Hofstadter on the hilarious sitcom, The Big Bang Theory. While Jim Parsons aka Sheldon Cooper is the life of the party when it comes the comedy, Cuoco certainly adds a level of charm to the show that would have been missing otherwise if it was just about nerds!

Now that the show is coming to an end Cuoco will have to say goodbye to her big bang family. She had the best “parting” gift too. The highly paid actress took a pretty substantial pay cut so her co-stars could get raises! While reruns and streaming are always there to remind Cuoco of her time on the show, she has plans to take something from the set to remind her of the good times.

The Big Bang Theory debuted on CBS back in 2007 with Cuoco as the main character. The comical romance follows Cuoco’s daily adventures after she moves into an apartment across the hall from some socially inept but brilliant physicist. As the shows goes on, new characters are thrown in the mix typically adding refreshing layers of hilarity. Guest appearances and ongoing ensemble cast aside; the core set has been making the world laugh for 12 straight years.

Throughout its time on CBS the show has impressed many, landing it a Golden Globe as well as 67 other wins. The sitcom was also nominated 232 times from 2008 onward. It’s rating on IMDb, 8.2 out of 10 and 95% of Google users are a fan of the show. With such praise, it’s no surprise actors and fans alike are devastated about the show coming to an end.

What’s next for Kaley Cuoco?

Cuoco may be disappointed about the series ending, but she does already have some plans on the horizon. Cuoco will be voicing the infamous Harleen Quinzel aka Harley Quinn for the Harley Quinn TV series. The animated adventure will follow the newly single Quinn as she sets off on her own in Gotham. The sneak peek looks pretty silly and with the tsundere Ivy at her side, things just get better. It isn’t her first time doing voice work, but if the series is successful it could open doors for more voiceovers and ultimately more acting credits!

Another project on Cuoco’s agenda is playing Cassandra Bowden for the TV movie, The Flight AttendantThe movie follows Bowden who wakes up in Dubai with a dead body by her side. Considering her wicked hangover, she has absolutely no idea what happened. She goes on about her day too afraid to say anything. Eventually, she arrives in New York where FBI agents question her about her recent layover. It’s only two parts so far, but it’s a promising new direction for her career.

What is Kaley Cuoco taking home from ‘The Big Bang Theory’ set?

Since the CBS sitcom’s humble beginnings there has been a piece of art hanging on the set. On the door of Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Sheldon’s apartment door, there is a picture of a red and blue robot wrestling. Cuoco revealed that when she is in the living room set the artwork is always in her eye-line. To keep things familiar, Cuoco intends to hang the piece in her own living room, where she can spend time gazing at it exactly like she does while on set.

With the show ending in May this year, all of the cast members are looking for memorabilia to take home. It seems like Cuoco knew this day would come someday, so she immediately called dibs when the news broke. Maybe fans will be able to find out what the other popular characters will be taking home this Spring sometime soon.
