‘The Big Bang Theory’: What’s Next for TV’s Highest Paid Actors?

It’s hard for fans to imagine a time when The Big Bang Theory ends. In fact, it’s hard for many to remember a time without it. The show showed the world that nerds are cool, and sitcoms can teach. Well, mostly it is a clever comedy that a lot of people can relate to, but they did teach us about String Theory, so that rocks.

The Big Bang Theory will end in May 2019, after 12 seasons. Over the years this show has catapulted several acting careers and their salaries. So, what’s next for TV’s highest paid actors?

Johnny Galecki

According to many fans, Johnny Galecki’s role as Leonard Hofstadter is the glue of the show. Leonard is the one character that brought all the other characters together, and without him, the entire storyline would be different.

When the 12th season comes to an end, Galecki is expected to reprise the role that started his career. He will go back to playing David Healy, Darlene’s ex-husband, on The Conners.

“If they come back next year on Roseanne and do another eight or nine episodes I would love to do more than one next year,” reported Fox News.

Melissa Rauch

Melissa Rauch, who plays Bernadette Rostenkowski, is also planning life after Big Bang. After the show ends in May, Rauch will play Bethany on the drama Ode to Joy. She will also be joining Antonio Banderas, Gary Oldman, and Meryl Streep in the film The Laundromat, which tells the story of the Panama Papers.

Kaley Cuoco

In the show, Kaley Cuoco plays Penny, the hot girl next door. Eventually, becoming Leonard’s on again off again love interests. She helps balance out all the nerdiness while teaching the boys how to talk to girls.

After the season ends her plan is to go back to voicing animation. She is set to be the of voice Harley Quinn in the new adult cartoon series based on the famous villain. She will also be an executive producer for the series.

Mayim Bialik

In 2010 Mayim Bialik took on the role of Amy Fowler, Sheldon Cooper’s love interest. In The Big Band Theory, she plays a neuroscientist, which worked out great considering, in real life, she has a PhD in Neuroscience.

Bialik has reportedly been the most outspoken about the show ending. Recently admitting “And now I start to figure out what next. Where will life take me? Where will this career go? What do I want?” reported by eNews. She has plans to do the voice work for B.O.O.T.H. on The Inspector Chronicles.

Kunal Nayyar

Kunal Nayyar has a few projects in the works after he leaves his character Rajesh Koothrappali behind. He will continue doing the voice work for his role as Guy Diamond in the upcoming Trolls World Tour sequel.

Nayyar will also costar alongside Dakota Fanning in Sweetness in the Belly, which is a movie inspired by Camilla Gibb’s novel.

Jim Parsons

Sheldon Cooper played by Jim Parsons, is arguably the most beloved character of The Big Bang Theory. According to Fox News, he might even be the reason the show is coming to a close because he did not want to renew his contract. No need for fans to worry about getting their Parsons fix, as he reportedly has many projects in the works.

Parsons will continue doing the voiceover work for Young Sheldon, as well as executive produce the show. He has also finished filming the Ted Bundy biopic Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil And Vile, featuring Zac Efron as the notorious serial killer. Parsons plays the Florida Prosecutor in the movie.

Two future projects we can’t wait to see him in is The Legend of Georgia McBride, where he will play a drag queen, and Spoiler Alert: The Hero Dies.

Simon Helberg

Simon Helberg doesn’t seem to have any upcoming projects. While he has had success in movies, TV, and comedy, he likely wants to take some time away from acting. Unlike his character Howard Wolowitz, Helberg has had luck in love. Taking a break will give him time with his wife and kids. Then again he might be waiting for the right work to come his way.
