What happened in Season 1 of ‘The Boys’?

Based on Garth Ennis’s comic book of the same name, The Boys is centered around a group of self-centered superheroes called The Seven who are just as dangerous as the villains they fight to bring down. Unlike traditional heroes, The Seven are driven by greed, fame, and power, and will take out anyone who gets in their way.

In Season 1,  Hughie Campbell (Jack Quaid) sets out to take down the superheroes with the help of Billy Butcher (Karl Urban). They end up facing Homelander (Anthony Starr), the most powerful of The Seven. And in the season finale, they become fugitives of the law, with a team of corrupt superheroes trying to find them.

Starlight (Erin Moriarty), the newest addition to The Seven, is still looking to find her place in the superhero group. And Homelander, who is still hellbent on taking full control, begins to feel threatened by The Seven’s tech-savvy new superhero, Stormfront (Aya Cash).

The returning superheroes of The Seven include The Deep (Chace Crawford), Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell), A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), and Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott) along with Vought CEO, Mr. Edgar (Giancarlo Esposito).
