Theresa Jones competed in one final during ‘The Challenge’ career

Wisconsin native Theresa Jones made her debut on The Challenge: Fresh Meat II (2010). Drafted by former finalist Ryan Kehoe, the pair went home shortly before the finals after failing to win their first elimination.

She came back for Cutthroat (2010) and performed better, winning two daily missions alongside her team but again eliminated before competing for the grand prize.

Jones had her worst appearance in Rivals (2011) partnered with Camila Nakagawa as they only lasted a couple of episodes. Returning for Rivals II (2013), she earned her first cash prize from the show, walking away with $500 for winning a daily challenge, although she didn’t make it far.

The reality star then competed in her best seasons back-to-back as she won three missions and her first elimination in Free Agents (2014) and finished Battle of the Exes 2 (2015) in second place, earning $35,000.

Following the 26th season, the Wisconsin native took a break from the show. She began dating former NFL wide receiver TJ Jones, who recently signed with the Canadian Football League’s Toronto Argonauts and they got engaged in 2015. The couple married three years later in a private wedding ceremony.

They have since welcomed two children, including daughter Easton Kaia (b. 2015) and son Maddox (b. 2019). Jones previously stayed at home with her children before returning for another season six years later.

She competed in Double Agents and tried to shake up the house by pulling a secret move to blindside Ashley Mitchell, who she considered her biggest threat. However, the veteran underestimated the numbers and ended up eliminated shortly later.

After losing, she emotionally expressed she likely wouldn’t return because she “loves her life too much” to keep coming back to the Challenge house. In Jan. 2021, shortly after the season premiered, she announced she and her husband were expecting another addition to their family.

Only July 19, 2021, the couple welcomed their third child, and second daughter, Layla Capri, on the same day as TJ’s birthday.

The Challenge star made the announcement with a picture of her wearing a pink onesie and matching bow two days later, calling the arrival of her daughter “the best birthday gift” she could have given her husband.

Jones also updated her followers on their well-being, noting, “we are all doing awesome and couldn’t be more grateful.” Several co-stars congratulated the couple in the comment section, including two-time champs Sarah Rice and Paula Beckert (neé Meronek) and Shauvon Torres.

TJ posted a video of himself with the newborn playing with her mouth and trying to wake her up. He also acknowledged the two having the same birthdays, jokingly noting he’ll never get another one to himself in his caption. The Challenge: Spies, Lies, and Allies premieres on Aug. 11.
