The Craziest Thing Every Member of the Trump Family Has Ever Posted on Social Media

Thanks to Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, we always know exactly what everyone else is up to — and that includes the President of the U.S. and his family. You’re probably familiar with Donald Trump’s Twitter activity above all else, as the president has proven that’s his ideal social outlet. But he’s not the only one who’s stirred the pot online. In fact, just about every Trump has caused controversy thanks to their internet activity.

Here are the craziest things every member of the family has put forth to the public.

Donald Trump: His threatening, all-caps tweet to Iran

There are a lot of tweets to choose from when it comes to Donald, but his one directed toward Iran’s president, Hassan Rouhani, might just be the most severe of them all. The Atlantic explains President Rouhani said in a televised speech that “peace with Iran would be the mother of all peace and war with Iran would be the mother of all wars,” implying that the U.S. should stay out of their way when it comes to exporting oil. Trump didn’t take that lightly, however.

The tweet begins by addressing President Rouhani directly, but it quickly devolves into madness:

NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE. WE ARE NO LONGER A COUNTRY THAT WILL STAND FOR YOUR DEMENTED WORDS OF VIOLENCE & DEATH. BE CAUTIOUS!

Melania: Her tweet that was definitely written by her husband

Melania’s Twitter is a treasure trove of strange occurrences (who could forget the beluga whale tweet?). But the strangest of all was her unsettling tweet that didn’t sound like she wrote it. In fact, it looked weirdly similar to many posts her husband has put forth into the world before.

After she disappeared from the public eye following surgery, she tweeted: “I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am & what I’m doing. Rest assured, I’m here at the @WhiteHouse w my family, feeling great, & working hard on behalf of children & the American people!” But AOL notes many Twitter users thought this style of tweet looked too much like Donald’s.

Ivanka: Her tweet about motherhood that angered everyone

This may be the most ill-timed tweet ever. The Guardian reminds us of the time Ivanka posted a photo on Twitter of her lovingly holding her 2-year-old with the caption “My <3! #SundayMorning.” Unfortunately, this post came right around the time that there were reports of children being ripped from their families by U.S. border agents.

Many Twitter users were completely outraged. Comedian Patton Oswalt wrote, “Isn’t it the just the best to snuggle your little one – knowing exactly where they are, safe in your arms? It’s the best. The BEST. Right, Ivanka? Right?”

Don Jr.: His ‘likes’ on Twitter that attacked a Florida school shooting survivor

Don Jr. has posted plenty of Instagram photos and tweets that have confused the masses, but his most controversial online move was a few simple “likes” on Twitter. The New York Post explains one Twitter user accused 17-year-old David Hogg, a student who survived a mass school shooting in Florida, as fabricating the event altogether. Another user suggested Hogg was “running cover” for his father, who works as an FBI agent. Unfortunately, Don Jr. liked both.

In response to this, Hogg told BuzzFeed News, “I think it’s a testament to the sick immaturity and broken state of our government when these people feel the need to peddle conspiracies about people that were in a school shooting where 17 people died and it just makes me sick.”

Tiffany: Her Instagram story of her playing a card game making fun of her father

She stays out of the media far more than the rest of her family, but one Instagram story Tiffany posted definitely raised some eyebrows. Metro reports the story contained a photo of Tiffany and a friend playing Trumped Up Cards, a game that makes fun of her father to the fullest extent. She didn’t have too much to say about the photo, either, as she just put the text, “Games + Milkshakes!” over it and let her followers wonder what was really going on.

As for the creators of Trumped Up Cards, they cheekily told Elite Daily that they were flattered Tiffany would give their game a try. “We’ve always considered Tiffany the crown jewel in President Trump’s beautiful portfolio of children, and are delighted to see her enjoying Trumped Up Cards,” a spokesperson said.

Eric: His retweet that showed Donald’s dismal approval rating

Eric Trump took a serious social media misstep when he retweeted a poll seemingly showing how Donald’s approval rating has risen throughout his presidency. The tweet, originally from Bloomberg News correspondent Sahil Kapur, said, “Donald Trump’s approval rating has risen to 45%, with disapproval at 52%. Among Republicans, 88% approve,” The Huffington Post reports.

Many Twitter users were quick to note that while his approval rating has slightly risen, he’s still only at a 45% approval rating, which makes the post all the more confusing. User Ms. Defy tweeted back at him, “you realize that more people HATE your father than like him. That’s not anything to be proud of. But you were saying?”
