‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’: Kris Jenner Said Her Famous Family Makes Her ‘Really Sad’ When They Do This
The Kardashian/Jenner family has dominated reality television for years, though they announced Keeping Up With the Kardashians is finally coming to a close. Prior to this decision, Kris Jenner went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about the upcoming season of the show. And it seems there’s one aspect of her family that she absolutely can’t stand. Here’s what she said.
Kris Jenner visited ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ in February 2020
Kris has visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show a number of times, and in February 2020, she and DeGeneres talked about KUWTK. At the time Kris visited, Kourtney Kardashian decided she would come back on the show after initially claiming she’d had enough of reality TV. And this was discussed between DeGeneres and Kris.
“She wasn’t in the show,” DeGeneres verified to Kris about Kourtney. “She wasn’t going to come back.”
“Yeah, she’s filming again,” Jenner said.
“OK. Is it because of this?” DeGeneres joked while simultaneously holding up a wad of money.
Kris laughed and said, “I gave her some of this,” while holding up the cash. “You know how we all hit a tipping point,” Kris added. “And she hit a wall. She was frustrated. She felt under-appreciated and that her sisters didn’t understand her boundaries. And so, I think, after taking a little bit of time off, she’s seen the light.”
“The money,” DeGeneres corrected. “The money at the end of the tunnel.”
Kris said it upsets her when her family fights
After joking about Kourtney coming back to the show for the paycheck, Kris further explained that her whole family really loves filming KUWTK because they get to spend all of their time together. But the closeness can also result in some family feuds. And Kris seems to get very negatively affected when she sees her daughters lash out at each other.
“When you see them fight — it looks like there’s a fist thrown or something — do you, as a mother, go ‘stop,’ or do you think, ‘oh, ratings!'” DeGeneres asked Kris.
Kris then noted that she wasn’t there to watch the particular event DeGeneres referred to. And she hadn’t seen her daughters get in any physical altercations since they were in high school. “It made me really sad,” Kris added. “I was like, you guys can’t be fighting with each other.”
DeGeneres then explained that Kris’ family’s bound to fight since they’re always filming together. “Maybe you could come over and tell them that,” Kris added. “Like you have a little intervention.”
“Or you can just make them watch this, and I just said don’t fight,” DeGeneres joked.
There have been many family feuds between the Kardashians and Jenners
While the Kardashian/Jenner family has made a lot of money from their time on reality TV, Kris likely isn’t too happy with all of the feuds that have taken place.
Kourtney and Kim Kardashian seem to have the most volatile relationship in the family. Kourtney’s called Kim a porn star, and Kim’s fought back and said Kourtney is “the least interesting to look at.”
“They’ve always been the ones in the family that fight the most,” an insider told HollywoodLife regarding Kim and Kourtney. “It’s been that way since they were very young. They love hard and fight just as hard.”
There’s also plenty of speculation that Kendall Jenner and Kim are at odds. Kendall has accused Kim of being jealous of her in the past due to her successful career in modeling. And when Kendall decided to start her own clothing line, she teamed up with Kylie Jenner and left her other sisters out of it. It’s entirely possible it’s Kendall’s independence and anxiety that keep her from having a close relationship with Kim, though.
Perhaps now that KUWTK is ending, the Kardashian/Jenner family will get along much better going forward.
