According to We Got This Covered, we won’t be able to expect another team-up of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ caliber until 2022. And, as for the superheroes set to join forces, we’re bound to see a set of new faces and a bundle of new origin stories. It’s likely that the next big team-up will hit silver screens about three years from now, and feature several superheroes who have yet to make their standalone debuts.

So, which superheroes are going to be in the movie, and do we know anything about the casting? The superheroes will comprise a team called “The New Avengers” or “The Young Avengers” based on reports from various digital media outlets and will be a much younger, more adolescent-comprised team.

Which superheroes will be in the ‘New Avengers’ film?

While we cannot be certain which superheroes are destined to lead the ‘New Avengers,’ according to We Got This Covered, the movie should feature the likes of Iron Lad, Hulkling, Kate Bishop’s Hawkeye, Patriot, Wiccan, Stature, and Vision 2.0.

Based on comic book narratives and various digital media publications, this list accounts for the characters most likely to appear. Thus, some of the heroes may be swapped out for others, or the team may consist of more or fewer individuals altogether.

For the sake of argumentation, let’s assume that the above characters will all appear in the New Avengers movie. And, if that’s the case, let’s do a deep dive into the various heroes, and the possible actors likely to don their suits.

The ‘New Avengers:’ Iron Lad, Kate Bishop’s Hawkeye, and Stature

Iron Lad, also known as Nathaniel Richards, was born in the 30th century of Earth-6311 (alternative earth featuring a different history, swapping out the dark ages for a period of great exploration and discovery), according to Marvel Fandom.

Wearing Neurokinetic armor produced from a rare synthetic alloy, Iron Lad gains enhanced strength and durability, while also boasting time travel ability. Based on Ty Simpkin’s appearance in Endgame, many believe that the comic book origin tale will be adjusted to feature Simpkins, who played Harley in Iron Man 3, as Iron Lad.

As for Kate Bishop’s Hawkeye, she is the third character in the Marvel comics to take the Hawkeye name and follow in Clint Barton’s footsteps. Supposedly, she will be featured in the upcoming Disney+ series Hawkeye.

Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) will train Bishop to take the mantle. Based on the events of Avengers: Endgame, many assume that Lila Barton will be the new Kate Bishop. However, how Marvel plans to pen these two characters as one and the same remains up for debate.

Stature is Scott Lang’s daughter, which means the superhero should theoretically be portrayed by Emma Fuhrmann, who also appears in Endgame.

The ‘New Avengers:’ Hulkling, Patriot, Wiccan, Stature, and Vision 2.0

As for Patriot, Hulkling, Wiccan, Stature, and Vision 2.0, casting assumptions are anyone’s guess for New Avengers is still just a rumor, and the previous films do not provide much insight.  You can probably accurately assume what Hulkling and Vision 2.0 will look like and be capable of. So, for the non-comic book readers, let’s dive into Patriot, Wiccan, and Stature.

Three different supers have been called Patriot, but the character’s grandfather is Captain America, and he boasts similar powers to the legend. So, who should play Cap and Peggy Carter’s child?

Wiccan – Billy Kaplan – becomes the sorcerer supreme following in Dr. Strange’s footsteps. Kaplan and Strange meet when Dr. Strange travels to a dimension in which past, present, and future sorcerers have all gathered. This should be a compelling future narrative (if the MCU sticks to it).

While these theories are based on the movies, other publications and insights, keep in mind that this is all still just speculation.
