The Huge Difference in the Way Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are Reacting to Their Split
“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,” a rep for Cyrus told People. “Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”
What led to the split?
Hemsworth and Cyrus haven’t had the easiest romance. After meeting in 2009 on the set of The Last Song, the two immediately hit it off. They began dating and even got engaged. But sadly, they broke off the engagement in 2013.
When the couple reconciled and got married last year, people thought that the two had finally figured out a way to make things between them work.
Apparently, that wasn’t true.
“This split isn’t shocking to people who are actually with them every day,” a source told People.
“After they reunited, everyone thought they were this ‘perfect’ couple, but they still had a lot of issues. They’re not on the same page when it comes to a lot of fundamental things that make a relationship work,” the source adds. “It’s not surprising at all.”
How does Hemsworth feel?
Hemsworth is not one to share his personal life with the media. While in his home country, Australia, the actor was asked about his breakup.
“You don’t understand what it’s like,” he told Daily Mail Australia. “I don’t want to talk about it, mate.”
How does Cyrus feel?
While Hemsworth is finding it hard to even talk about his split, Cyrus may have moved on. Shortly, after the breakup, she took to Instagram to post about life changes.
“Don’t fight evolution, because you will never win,” she captioned a picture of herself. “Like the mountain I am standing on top of, which was once underwater, connected with Africa, change is inevitable.”
And over the weekend, she was spotted kissing Brody Jenner’s ex-wife Kaitlynn Carter in Italy.
Though sources told People that the pair were just “having fun” with one another, it seems like Cyrus is definitely handling the break up a lot better than her soon-to-be ex-husband.
This could be because Cyrus never really felt like a wife in the first place.
“I think it’s very confusing to people that I’m married,” she recently told Elle. “But my relationship is unique. I mean, do people really think that I’m at home in a f—ing apron cooking dinner? I’m in a hetero relationship, but I still am very sexually attracted to women.”
“People become vegetarian for health reasons, but bacon is still f–ing good, and I know that,” she continued. “I made a partner decision. This is the person I feel has my back the most. I definitely don’t fit into a stereotypical wife role. I don’t even like that word.”
Poor Hemsworth, hopefully, he can find a way to move on just like Cyrus has.
