‘The Masked Singer’: Celebrities We’d Love to See on Season 2

The season is over and the masks are off. After months of guesses, we finally know the identities of all the masked singers, including the ultimate winner. Congratulations go to T-Pain, the man behind the monster mask.

Let’s take a look at all the singers revealed this season on The Masked Singer:

  • Bee: Gladys Knight
  • Rabbit: Joey Fatone
  • Lion: Rumer Willis
  • Alien: La Toya Jackson
  • Raven: Ricki Lake
  • Unicorn: Tori Spelling
  • Poodle: Margaret Cho
  • Deer: Terry Bradshaw
  • Pineapple: Tommy Chong
  • Hippo: Antonio Brown
  • Peacock: Donny Osmond
  • Monster: T-Pain

Even though the season just ended, it’s never too early to put start putting together a wish list of the stars we would like to see on season two. Here are just a few of our favorites that would be a perfect fit for the show.

Paula Abdul

When it comes to The Masked Singer, being able to dance puts you a step above the competition. Just look at how well Joey Fatone did this season. Paula Abdul has decades of dancing and singing experience.

The California native got her start as a Lakers dancer. It was here she was discovered by The Jacksons and began choreographing music videos for Janet Jackson. Abdul moved on had a successful career as a solo artist in the late ’80s. In 2002 she returned to the spotlight to host American Idol and later The X Factor, Live to Dance, and So You Think You Can Dance.

With her dance, singing, and reality competition experience, we think Abdul would be the perfect fit. Abdul last appeared on television in 2017, so it’s the perfect time for her to jump into a new project.

Kelly Ripa

Kelly Ripa has always loved to entertain. The 48-year-old talk show host learned how to sing, dance, and play the piano when she was a kid. Ripa recently showed off her dance moves when she participated in the “Kiki challenge” on her daytime talk show.

The Masked Singer is just as much about personal stories and backgrounds as it is singing and dancing. We think that her soap opera background, talk show gig, and recent appearance as her husband’s mistress on Riverdale would make the perfect backstory for the show.

Nick Lachey

What’s a celebrity competition show without a ’90s boy band member? Nick Lachey was the lead singer of the multi-platinum group 98ยบ. He also released four solo albums. Lachey is almost as famous for her he married as he is for his career. In 2003, the singer filmed a reality show with his now ex-wife, Jessica Simpson.

In addition to his Newlyweds show with Simpson, Lachey has plenty of reality show experience. In 2009 he hosted The Sing-off and in 2017 he appeared on Dancing with the Stars with his current wife, Vanessa Lachey. We’re thinking a chicken costume would be a funny nod to Simpson’s classic Newlyweds, “Is it chicken or is it fish?” comment, but it looks like he’s already got the rabbit costume.

Drew Carey

Everyone loves Drew Carey. The funnyman is currently the host of the CBS game show, The Price is Right. Carey has been entertaining audiences for decades. He had a successful stand-up career, followed by a hit sitcom and popular improv show.

While his ability to sing or dance may be up in the air, there is no doubt that Carey can make us laugh. From his stories to his costume, we’re sure he would make a great addition to the cast.

Hilary Duff

Hilary Duff is best known for playing the title character on the Disney Channel show, Lizzie McGuire. As McGuire, the actress showed off her singing shops when she went to Rome and performed on stage as an international pop star and herself. In real life, Duff released five studio albums.

The actress is currently appearing on the TV Land series Younger. It’s been a while since we have seen Duff perform on stage and we think The Masked Singer would be a great opportunity for her to show off her chops.
