‘The Office’: Jenna Fischer Admitted to Bingeing on 4 Boxes of Crackers with Ellie Kemper in a Single Episode
Long days on set sometimes require extra sustenance, but even so the amount of food Jenna Fischer and Ellie Kemper ate in one setting once was extreme. The actress revealed to Busy Phillips that she and her co-star had a serious binge session during filming with a Trader Joe’s favorite.
Here’s how these two hard-working actresses got through their days on set of The Office.
Jenna Fischer and Ellie Kemper chowed down on Trader Joe’s crackers
Not all celebrities love shopping at Trader Joe’s — Chrissy Teigen famously called the favorite grocery store “weird and creepy,” though she did admit that she loves their classic cookie butter. But apparently Fischer, who played Pam Beesly on The Office, doesn’t share Teigen’s disdain because she told Phillips about one of her favorite products, too.
“These are Raisin Crisps from Trader Joe’s, and during an episode, [Ellie Kemper] and I ate about four boxes of them,” Fischer admitted during the interview, Refinery 29 reported. That’s a lot of carbs for a single sitting, but at the same time, it takes some serious effort being funny all the time.
Raisin Crisps aren’t the most exciting birthday gift Fischer received
As expected, Kemper bought Fischer a jar of their favorite Raisin Crisps for her birthday surprise during the appearance on Busy Tonight. But that wasn’t the only special gift she got from castmates.
Angela Kinsey bought Fischer a shirt with a picture of bread on it in homage to the actress’s newfound love of baking bread. Former co-star Ed Helms (who played Andy) gave Fisher a banjo because he likes playing.
But the best gift of the night came courtesy of Steve Carrell (Michael Scott). He gave Fischer the gift of himself by hiding inside a giant box and popping out to surprise his former co-star. In reply, Fischer started laughing and gave him a huge hug while wiping tears from her face, VT.co wrote.
Was Carrell her favorite gift, or did she mostly appreciate the nostalgia of the Raisin Crisps? It’s a close call.
Fischer and Kemper disagree on whether they’d do a reboot
Given the popularity of The Office, talks of a reboot are frequent, though so far there’s nothing planned. Fisher, Kemper, and Kinsey appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to discuss the possibility of a spinoff. Only two out of three actresses were on board.
“I would not do an Office reboot, but I would love to do a reunion special episode. I’d like to get us all together again,” Fischer said when asked, according to The Hollywood Reporter. But Kemper and Kinsey said they were down for whatever. “I would do anything they called me to do. So if you want to call me, I’m around,” Kinsey said.
Kemper agreed, saying: “I will be there. Angela and I are rebooting The Office.” But we could assume if they did a reboot or a reunion, they’d need a whole pallet of Raisin Crisps from Trader Joe’s.
