The One American Holiday Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will Celebrate With Baby Archie

In the United States, Thanksgiving is a holiday that the majority of people look forward to and always celebrate. We usually don’t realize that across the pond in England, this day is not usually recognized, as it is typically an American tradition.

This means that members of the royal family don’t spend days looking forward to a turkey dinner with all the trimmings and a dessert table that is beyond compare. They don’t spend the day watching football and eating stuffing, cranberry sauce, and mashed potatoes, followed by a slice each of pumpkin, pecan, and sweet potato pie.

Now that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are married, this tradition may change — at least for the Sussex family. Given that it is Baby Archie’s first Thanksgiving, it is most likely important to Duchess Meghan, and to Prince Harry as well, that the young tot has a wonderful experience.

We all know that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex haven’t been having the easiest time lately. The news media has been quite relentless, criticizing Markle and even Prince Harry for almost everything that they do.

According to Her, the royal couple plan to lay low for a while, taking a six-week break from their duties. They need the time away from the spotlight to focus on themselves and their son, and to have a little rest and relaxation as well. Although their schedules are pretty jam-packed for the next few weeks, as soon as all engagements are fulfilled, we won’t be seeing Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry for quite some time.

Archie’s parents want him to experience the American tradition

Little Archie is in the unique position of growing up with parents who come from different countries, and therefore, have celebrated different traditions throughout their lives. Harper’s Bazaar reports that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex want their son to experience traditions from both sides of the pond, which is absolutely wonderful. He will be raised knowing his American as well as his British roots, and he can carry that on to the next generation as well. In keeping with this, Archie will have both British and American citizenship, and he will know all about Prince Harry’s family as well as Markle’s.

Baby Archie’s first Thanksgiving

This upcoming holiday season marks the Sussex’s first as a family of three, and it looks as if Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry are going to be having yearly traditions that they want to celebrate with Archie. The royal couple has been adamant about everyone knowing that they want Archie to have as normal of a life as possible, in spite of the fact that he is seventh in line for the British throne.

It looks like Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan will be taking Archie on a trip to Los Angeles for his very first turkey dinner! According to Page Six, the Sussex family will be making the trip to the United States in order to introduce their son to the American custom. They will be spending the holiday with Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, who is undoubtedly over the moon to be celebrating with her new grandson. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be back in London in time for the Christmas season.
