The Profound Ways Motherhood Has Changed Khloé Kardashian
Khloé Kardashian may get a ton of flak for her parenting skills, but even those mom-shamers can’t deny that becoming a parent is the best thing that could have ever happened to the reality star.
Though being a parent is hard work, motherhood has truly changed Kardashian in the best way possible as she now has a brighter outlook on life, all thanks to her baby girl.
Being a mom has made Kardashian “a better person”
There’s nothing Kardashian loves more in this world than being a mom.
Since giving birth, the reality star has loved every second of motherhood. Not only does she get to spend each day with her mini-me, but being a parent has allowed Kardashian to see things in a different light.
Sources close to the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star recently explained Life & Style that how her outlook on life has changed since becoming a mom.
“Hands down, True is the best thing that’s ever happened to Khloé,” the insider shared. “She admits that her life was pretty superficial … before True. Obviously, she’s still all about the glam and looking her best, but Khloé’s become more spiritual and empathetic.”
Once she gave birth to True, Kardashian realized that she needed to shift the way she looked at the world. And now, she understands a lot more about what she thinks is important in life.
“I think also motherhood just puts life into perspective and what’s important to you,” the reality star told Entertainment Tonight in 2019. “I think you just reevaluate things, like, ‘I don’t want to do that tonight.’ And it’s OK to say no, so I can spend time with my family.”
Kardashian claims motherhood has empowered her
There’s something about becoming a mother that makes women feel instantly empowered.
Making sure that your child is well taken care of is a mother’s number one priority, and as the Good American founder can tell you, no task is too big to ensure that her child is healthy and happy.
“My favorite part about being a mom, I mean it’s so corny, but it’s just like, no matter how tired you are, it’s complete bliss, no matter what,” Kardashian explained to ET. “I mean, Christmas Day, I was so hungover, and I was like, ‘How am I gonna get through this day?’ And just when you see your baby, and how happy [she is], you just get through it. I was like, ‘OK, I feel like I can do anything. I could do this.'”
She added, “It’s just the best, and the love that you get and that you also get to give and receive… it’s just, it’s beautiful.”
Being a mom has taught Kardashian how to be her best self
While the beginning of her motherhood journey was tough to deal with — especially with the Tristan Thompson drama looming over her head — Kardashian didn’t let that get her down.
Instead of holding a grudge against her ex, Kardashian decided to forgive him for cheating on her so that they could work together to raise their child.
“It’s hard. It’s not easy for me,” the E! personality said of co-parenting with Thompson on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast in October 2019. “It would be easier for me to keep my daughter away and be like, ‘No, because you hurt me.’ But he never hurt True. Him and I have our own relationship, and then Tristan and True have theirs. I will never come in-between that. I don’t believe in that.”
Though forgiving him wasn’t easy, Kardashian worked hard to get to a good place with Thompson, mainly because she wants to be a good example for her daughter.
“I want to show my daughter it’s OK and it’s a beautiful thing to also forgive her dad. He’s a great person. Maybe him and I weren’t compatible in that way, but that’s OK,” she continued. “I always want True to be surrounded by love, and I know babies feel energy, we feel energy, and I just want her to always feel bliss as much as I can.”
By all counts, motherhood has definitely changed Kardashian for the better. Not only is she wiser, more spiritual, empathetic, and practical, she also a lot more mature about things, which are all excellent qualities that we hope get passed down to True.
