Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth secret wedding is still the talk of the town.

When the couple secretly tied the knot back in December, the couple asked guests to not post photos, but unfortunately, not everyone got the memo.

Brandi Cyrus revealed the reason the newlyweds wanted to keep their wedding under wraps and how they reacted when finding out photos from their ceremony were leaked.

Their wedding was a secret

First of all, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are not upset photos from their wedding ceremony were leaked.

The couple tied the knot in Cyrus’ Nashville home just last month and even though close family and friends were the only ones in attendance, the couple still asked everyone not to post any pictures.

According to Miley’s sister, Brandi, the “Wrecking Ball” singer “doesn’t really care” that the public found out about her secret nuptials.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have always wanted a secret wedding and wanted to get married only in front of close family and friends.

“Whenever they’ve talked about getting married, they’ve always wanted to keep it small and just be the family and just be at the house. That’s always been what they wanted,” Brandi Cyrus revealed on her podcast with Wells Adams.

The podcast host continued, “Honestly, Miley’s only friend there was her best friend, Jessie, and Liam had a handful of his friends that were there from Australia.”

A close friend accidentally leaked photos

Before beginning the ceremony, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth kindly asked guests to hold off on photos.

The couple wanted to execute they intimate wedding and felt as though to do that was by eliminating any and all cameras in order for them to enjoy their day.

The couple had a very small guest list and Brandi Cyrus explained how they went about asking guest not to take photos.

According to the older Cyrus sister, “Even with family and close friends, they still made a point to say, ‘Hey guys, this is a private thing for a reason. We love you all, but please don’t take photos.”

Unfortunately, not everyone got the “no photos” memo.

Liam Hemsworth friend Conrad Carr was the one who accidentally leaked a few photos of the wedding on his Instagram story.

The photos showed the two actors cutting their wedding cake and standing in front of balloons that spelled out “Mr. & Mrs.”, which were the photos that instantly went viral.

Carr did not know of Cyrus and Hemsworth wish to keep their wedding private and actually felt horrible that he was the one who shared the ceremony with the world.

“He feels really bad,” Brandi Cyrus revealed. “I didn’t really ask what happened, but I think from what he said, no one told him not to post about it, so he didn’t know.”

Even though photos of the wedding were accidentally leaked, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth confirmed their nuptials on social media just three days later.

The couple posted a few black and white photos to Instagram showcasing their secret wedding to the world.

Hopefully, there are no hard feelings towards Conrad Carr since it was honest mistake.
