Due to their training schedules, Colton Underwood and Aly Raisman had to quickly come to terms being in a long distance relationship.
The two still tried to see each other often but after a year of constant separation, the couple decided it was best for both if they called it quits.
It was revealed that there were no hard feelings and the breakup was mutual.
In June 2017, Underwood told the Peoria Journal Star, “We’re taking a break right now. We’re still good friends and talk, but all that travel had been a nightmare. It ended fine. We’re in a good place…It put a lot of pressure on us, sure, but we had fun with it. A lot of fun date nights. Those six months were great.”
Even though they broke up on good terms, Colton Underwood took it a little hard. While getting interviewed on the LadyGang podcast, Underwood revealed that Aly Raisman was “his first love” and confirmed that calling it quits from the Olympian was his “worst heartbreak”.
Though Colton Underwood has since vyed for Becca Kufrin’s heart on The Bachelorette and currently has 30 women competing for his love on The Bachelor, he will never forget his first love.
