The Reason Andy Cohen Thinks That Lisa Vanderpump and Bethenny Frankel Will Come Back to ‘Housewives’

New women may be added to The Real Housewives every season, but there are some stars who have become mainstays in their city’s cast. These women have been on the show since almost the very beginning, if not the first episode, of their city’s franchise. They are also usually responsible for bringing some of the other women onto the show. Basically, they make Real Housewives what it is.

Unfortunately, even OGs get tired. And now, two of the most iconic women in the Real Housewives‘ world, Bethenny Frankel and Lisa Vanderpump, have decided to leave the franchise.

Why did Lisa Vanderpump leave ‘RHOBH’?

Vanderpump had an extremely hard time this last season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She got into an argument with pretty much every other woman in the cast after Dorit Kemsley adopted a dog from Vanderpump Dogs, only for it to later end up being given away.

On top of all of the drama with the rest of the women, Vanderpump was also dealing with the loss of her brother.

She, eventually, decided to stop filming with the other women, which caused her to be cut out of the last few episodes of the season.

“Lisa is extremely hurt that several scenes that she filmed for RHOBH have been cut because it’s all about her philanthropy work which she loves to proudly show off,” a source close to the show told HollywoodLife. “She feels that since there’s no drama, they got cut, but she wants to show off that side of her life and is really disappointed that those scenes got cut because that’s a big part of her life as a real housewife.”

Ultimately, she decided that leaving the franchise was the best move for her.

Why did Bethenny Frankel leave ‘RHONY’?

Across the country, Frankel also decided to put down her Real Housewives of New York City apple. The entrepreneur had been a part of the show for years but just decided that it was time for her to focus on other things.

“I have decided to leave the ‘Housewives’ franchise to explore my next chapter,” Frankel said in a statement to Variety. “It’s time to move on and focus on my daughter, my philanthropy, and my production partnership with Mark Burnett, producing and starring in shows which represent a shift in the conversation for women. With the changes in modern culture, I want to highlight the strength, confidence, and unstoppable power that women have. My experience at Bravo has been an incredibly magical ride. I am so grateful to them for highlighting my entrepreneurialism and allowing me to pave the way for many women to achieve their goals. I am excited for my future. The best is yet to come.”

Why does Andy Cohen think Frankel and Vanderpump will be back?’

As an executive producer of the Real Housewives franchise, Andy Cohen obviously wants to keep as many interesting women on the show as possible. Though he was disappointed that both Frankel and Vanderpump were leaving their respective shows, he’s not counting them out of the Housewives world forever.

“I mean, look, NeNe [Leakes] left Atlanta for a bit,” he told HollywoodLife. “Bethenny left New York for a bit. You know, people come and go and hopefully…You know, they both came back.”

Let’s all hope that Cohen is right and we see these two women back on our screens soon.
