The Totally Relatable Reason Billie Eilish Is Still Single

If you haven’t heard of Billie Eilish, then you’re really missing out. This year, she burst into the music scene and has taken over. Interest in the young artist is at a crazy high right now, but Eilish has been mostly private about her personal life.

Fortunately, we were able to gather a few details, because we know you really want to know. Eilish was recently questioned about her love life, and her response was surprisingly mature for a teenager. Here are the details.

Billie Eilish is in a relationship with herself

Eilish admits that she was in love once. In an interview with the Netherland’s music channel, 3voor12, she gave some insight into her love life. As reported by Seventeen, Eilish said, “I was in love, [but] not at the moment.”

Unfortunately, she didn’t give any more details on that previous relationship.

However, she did give us a clue about her love life as it is now. Eilish pointed to herself and said, “I’m in love with her, me.”

That’s a great attitude for her to have right. Eilish is still young. At the age of 17, she just became the first artist born in the 2000s to have a number one album. There’s plenty of time for her to date, after she knows herself and what she wants a little better.

Eilish has a busy career, and she’s still learning to deal with her new success and fame. Right now wouldn’t be the right time for her to start a new romance. Her busy schedule would make it impossible for her to give a relationship the time and attention that it needs to grow.

She is worried about the world

A relationship would take time away from something Eilish is passionate about- changing the world. She often uses her social media accounts to support causes that she’s passionate about.

Recently, she signed a letter, along with nearly 140 other musicians, to support Planned Parenthood. “Every person deserves the right to control their body, their life, and their future,” Eilish said about her support of the cause. Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus were two of the other artists to sign their support.

In response to the recent shootings across America, Eilish posted an Instagram video asking her fans to connect with their senators to stop gun violence.

She starts the video by saying, “I’m making this video to talk about how scared and worried I am.” She then expresses her frustration that no one in charge is doing anything to stop the violence.

Eilish is frustrated that the causes she loves aren’t getting enough attention. But maybe that’s because people are different than they used to be. During the interview with 3voor12, she elaborated on how much people have changed. She used to be able to step off the stage after a show and visit with her fans, but now she has to be a lot more careful.

“There are people that are crazy– and not even fans– just people that are out there and just want to grab you and get you.”

Eilish is speaking from experience. She’s had people grab at her in the past, as she explained in a now-deleted Instagram post, “Please don’t grab my boobs in the meet and greet. [I] keep playing this s*** cool but it is very much not.”

Yuck. No one should have people grabbing at them. Although, Eilish did later explain that it may have been an accident, so she acted like it was no big deal towards the female fan, just in case. “But if that s**t was [for real] I’m gone,” Eilish added.

You can’t really blame Eilish for not wanting to date in the crazy world she’s describing.
