‘The View’: Meghan McCain Is ‘Blissed Out’ After Giving Birth To Daughter, Shares First Tweet
Meghan McCain from The View has now become a mother after giving birth to her daughter. The conservative co-host and her husband Ben Domenech welcomed Liberty Sage McCain Domenech to this world. McCain is undoubtedly ecstatic for the arrival of her little bundle of joy and has now shared her first tweet.
What did Meghan McCain say after becoming a mother?
It was The View that broke the news that McCain had delivered her baby. The Republican pundit had been off of the show since last Thursday. Although the co-hosts said McCain would be back the following day, she never appeared again. On the evening of Monday, September 28, the show’s social media accounts made the joyful announcement.
“We are excited to share the happy news that our Meghan McCain and her husband Ben Domenech have welcomed their first child, daughter Liberty Sage McCain Domenech,” the Instagram post read.
Since giving birth, McCain has shared her first tweet appreciating all the love and support she has received. She also updated her fans on how she was going to spend her first night with baby Liberty.
“Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the wonderful well wishes and overwhelming kindness,” McCain tweeted. “Ben and I are completely and utterly in love with our daughter and feeling indescribably blessed/blissed out. We will be watching her first debate as a family together tonight.”
Why hasn’t Meghan McCain shared a photo of her baby?
Many of McCain’s fans have been asking to see a photo of baby Liberty Sage, but chances are the TV personality will not be sharing anything. Back in May of this year, she released a statement saying she would be keeping as much privacy as possible around her pregnancy.
“Ben and I have made the conscious decision to guard our (growing) families’ privacy as much as is possible,” McCain posted on Instagram. “I believe children have a right to privacy and hope you will all understand as we navigate this as much as possible going forward without sacrificing our comfort or safety.”
For McCain, growing up in a political family being in the limelight was probably not easy for her to navigate. Being that politics are increasingly divisive, McCain wants to protect her child as much as possible.
“I know this is an unorthodox choice for a talk show host who is on TV five days a week – but I’ve always lived by the beat of my own drum,” she continued. “Thank you for the continued kind words, support and prayers regarding my pregnancy from so many of you who are nothing but kind. It has meant a lot during this crazy time.”
Will Meghan McCain be returning?
McCain is an important piece of the puzzle on The View. Sharing the conservative side of politics is important as that’s how the daytime talk show was designed from the beginning. Many viewers have wondered if the Republican pundit would be returning to her seat after having her baby.
“Why does everyone ask me if I’m getting fired or quitting every 20 seconds?” she said on Watch What Happens Live assuring she would return to the talk show. “No other host has to deal with this BS. Yes, I’m coming back. It’s an election cycle.”
There’s no word yet as to when McCain plans on returning to the show. What’s most important right now is for the star to rest, relax, and enjoy her time with her baby.
The View airs weekday mornings at 11 a.m. ET and 10 a.m. PT/CT on ABC.
